#2 - Weetzie Bat - has always been a favorite of mine - I think it's due for a reread.

Yeah, Weetize Bat is different. Some of these others I have wanted to read for a while - ones that we have in the adult area - like The Vanishers, Geek Love, and Out.

I read this in my Youth Services class in library school. It was a bizarre little book that stood out from the majority of YA books for me...almost like Kurt Vonnegut or Richard Brautigan had been reincarnated as a misfit teen.
