I went... there was a huge collection readers digest Library bound collection of various authors and some novels by various authors (Stephen King etc.) what I loved was the huge renaissance book (LKR 1450)and symbolism books (LKR 680) ... bought few .. PS:- there were physics, chemistry, Maths London A/L books, and barrons GMAT book (LKR 50) Guinness world record books and some children Bible stories were there.
All books are cheap and Bargain-able. good to visit before spending all your money for Aurudu ;)
Aw! I have exams till the 28th, so I guess I won't make it then! Maybe next time!
If you are heading to the Colombo Book Fair, go to the Sarasavi Bookshop Stand, it is your prime chance to pick up a copy of The Devil Dancers as there is limited stock available for sale at Rs.2000, less a 20% discount. It is definitely a book worth buying.
Sri Lanka Sumithrayo is having their annual sale on 5th April from 9.00 A.M. Books in decent condition are available at very low prices. Place is 60/B, Horton Place, Colombo 7. I bought 3 good books on management last year for Rs.300...

This is not a book sale actually, Sarasavi Bookshop has opened a bargain shop in Nugegoda. Few steps ahead to the supermarket side from their stationary shop. Dropping by would not be a waste. :)

Wow, got to check this out!!. And for those who don't know about it, there's a Sarasavi bargain bookshop in Nugegoda just few blocks away from the old Sarasavi building (towards the Nugegoda supermarket ). I've bought around 200 books from there so far. Price range is Rs 100 to Rs300 !!. Real value for money guys, pay them a visit. They got almost everything there, from War and Peace to The Sward of Truth. And surprisingly, some very very new books as well ....
Few months back I bought Dostoyevsky's The Insulted and Humiliated, paperback edition just for Rs 250 !!
