I would love to separate into two basic categories:

things that can happen in the world we already know

&

things that can happen in worlds we don't know (or could ever know)

:)

lol, I wasn't saying you had to go by that, just saying that's how I would love to separate them, or at least, that is the schism as I see it.

but your labels are cool.

Adam wrote (my edit): "Let's talk about catgories and how we perceive them:

• Quest Fantasy
• Sword & Sorcery
• Mystical Fantasy
• Classic Fantasy
• Alternate Reality
"

How about the following?

• Human Paranormal (ESP, Telekinesis, etc. vs. Magic)
• Metaphysical (Angels, Demons, etc.)
• Adventure (There be ye Pirates, arrrgh!, etc.)
• Psychological (which could be part of Human Paranormal or vice versa)
• Humorous (Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy, etc.)
• Pre-1969 (This would include pulps, etc.)
• Anthologies (of course I'm going to be interested in including this)

Sorry not to have gotten back to this before now.
