David Leonard | 1 comments I'm trying to locate a book I had some 30 years ago, a guide to 20th century novelists. Each entry had a short biography of the writer and discussion of his books, following which the major novels were listed and graded using a starring system. Any ideas, please?

Feliks (dzerzhinsky) Well. One book like this might be, '99' by Anthony Burgess, himself no slouch either. Although I don't recall that he applied any kind of 'ranking system'.
