Nathan "N.R." Gaddis (nathannrgaddis) | 985 comments I just picked up Katz's Swanny's Ways which I now recall having fingered at The Village Bookshop a few months past but thought at the time that it looked TOO goofy. But having read an interview with him in ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN: Interviews with Contemporary American Novelists and receiving some BEgeisterung from the likes of Friends Enrique and Eric, I had to pick it up [complete with signature on the Other Books By page].

There's a Katz Trilogy:
I Wier and Pouce
II Florry of Washington Heights
III Swanny's Ways

Nate (rockhyrax) | 354 comments Well, Moving Parts was unexpectedly perfect. Maybe relatively light fare, but largely a rapid pleasure. Thanks for this!.

Brant | 3 comments For those so inclined, Katz's memoir, The Compleat Memoirrhoids: 137.n, is currently available on Amazon (in new hardback) for under $3.
A bargain if there ever was one.

That didn't last long! But it remains one to recommend.

Brant | 3 comments It sure didn't! Glad I ordered mine.

Wendy (djuna) | 14 comments My favorite Katz book is Stolen Stories, which has a few masterpieces in it: "Friendship," "The Death of the Band" and "Two Seaside Yarns." His early novel The Exagggerations of Peter Prince is also wonderful, but probably very hard to find.
