Yeah, I hear you. No one's in a position to be in relationships considering what's going on. Everyone's too fragile. But it still sucks that (view spoiler)[ Alex totally blew Lena off when she basically poured her heart out very early on and told him she still loved him and that she'd take him back over Julian. OK, I'm at 72% and I'll post my thoughts to this point a little later on. But I just had to post my thoughts when I was at 42% because no one has mentioned it (view spoiler)[ What? Hana is the one that turned them in and caused Alex to get caught? Did we know that before now? I certainly don't remember it, but all I know is, eek!!!! That made me kinda sorta not like her very much, although her situation is admittedly awful at the moment. (hide spoiler)]

I agree, David, it did totally suck! At times, this trilogy makes me think a little of The Hunger Games...just in the fact that all these good characters are stuck in a hopeless situation, and trying to do the best they can with it...no one is going to end up truly happy IMO!

It was very odd whe i finished Requiem because i thought (dont read this if you didnt finish Requiem) (view spoiler)[ Did Tack know about Raven being pregnant?? (hide spoiler)] The thing abour reading Raven before Requiem was that i felt both Raven and Tack more human, like Tack is not this always angry guy i thought he was. Yes, the spoiler was my question. I just find it odd that it was never even addressed in Requiem. I mean why bother writing something like that in a novella. I loved seeing Raven's POV, tho.

I didn't read it until after I read Requiem. I think I'm glad. I was already upset enough with Requiem, I think that would have made it worse for me! LOL! Not even anything from Lena's POV to show it to the reader in some way, shape or form. So much left unsaid. That's what bothered me about this book.

What upseted (i dont know if that word was ok) you about Requiem? I would have wanted to see mor of Alex's POV and of course Raven's. I also would have wanted to know what was Tack thinking.

I felt that Hana's POV took away from Lena's story. I didn't feel there was any closure. And I felt like Lena was less strong in this book than Pandemonium. The end of this book reminded me very much of Mockingjay. I wasn't looking for a HEA necessarily, but I needed some stuff rapped up that just kind of hung there. And there's no epilogue for closure at all.

YES!!!! all of the above! LOL! And while I LOVED Oliver's writing and can appreciate that she couldn't tie things up in a pretty bow, I just felt like I was left hanging.

I just read Hana, and it does mention it at the end of her story, that she's jealous of Lena. Hana has a short affair with that guy Steve, then realizes he's being a total guy, just trying to get in her pants, and she's really jealous that Lena found the real thing. She she's a poster offering a $500 reward for info, then thinks, "Sorry, Lena," then the story ends.

I've heard good things about Shatter Me, which I bought a few days ago. You might like Legend or Under the Never Sky too, they're pretty good :) And Divergent was awesome for me :)

I would go with those that David mentioned. There's also the Matched series, which is complete so no waiting on any books for that. It's fairly good, although not as good as some of the other dystopians I have read.

Shatter Me is amazing, but it is fairly heavy on the romance with a bit of craziness side in the first book. More of the dystopian stuff in Unravel Me. Legend was ok for me, not great. I have Prodigy but haven't read it yet. LOVE UTNS

Yeah, I'd say Matched is pretty similar to Delirium but Delirium is better. I haven't read the second and third Matched books though, are they any good?

I liked the second one (Crossed). But the third one gets kind of dragged out. It's a lot of war and things needing to be done such-and-such a way because of the war, etc. I will say, though, that the ending is really good. She ties it all up really well. Actually, I think it does sound promising. It will be a departure from the book, using some of the same characters. Remember how Julian had a brain tumour? I think that will play into it. And honestly, I thought from the get-go that Julian and Hana ought to have had some kind of relationship. I was hoping in Requiem that her cure wouldn't have worked, and he'd find her, etc. Uh, no. THAT didn't happen. So if they want to do something completely different with the tv show, at least it won't be the big disappointment that Requiem was.

Yes, matched is similar to Delirium, but you're right Delirium is better. I preferred Crossed to matched. I haven't read REached yet, it's been sitting on my shelf since it was released. Another series to try is Eve.

i really liked the Matched trilogy, i read the last one in English, and i bought the hardcover unlike all the other books i read because they were in Spanish and in my ereader. I really liked Reached (the last book) because i saw Xander and Ky's POV. and like how de story ended with no cliffhanger ulike Requiem.

I hope they dont chance that muuch when they do the tv show, i loved it the way it was, every single part of it and would hate to see the changes they're planning to do.

Okay, I've read Requiem two weeks ago. Mine's a Reader Edition (The First Edition might have some changes, the one you're about to buy.)

Requiem is personally quite my favorite in the trilogy (Delirium made me cry, in all honesty when Alex sacrificed his own life for Lena to cross the border - that one really made me cry like...oh well. Try listening to a song, for instance, Run by Snow Patrol and read the last three chapters.) and for me the last book is Full On Resolution and that unexpected revelation that DON'T READ THIS IF YOU'RE STILL NOT SOMEWHERE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BOOK! (view spoiler)[Hana revealed she "was" the reason why the Securities made their escape dramatic, I didn't hate her for acting like that because she was really jealous of the love the grew between Alex and Lena. But then that moment when Lena accused Hana about being so unfair."You have everything Hana. I don't have that, I lost everything but you took the last person in my life. I have nothing left." And I am really very proud of the Lauren for not making the last bit of the book so cheesy and all, with an ultimate happy ending like normal books. Instead she ended it with a force so strong that left us think what could have been waiting in the end. (hide spoiler)] I love Julian, but you know, we got used to Alex in Delirium and slightly in Pandemonium. Julian vs Alex? I really Lena to end up with Alex. Want a spoiler again? No, find it yourself. But Lauren gave me hopes for Julian. He can be a new leader of the SPOILER ALERT! (view spoiler)[New society after Fred died in an explosion in his own house. (hide spoiler)] Wow, Hana Hana Hana, her character is strong in a more damsel way, I love her. Totes. Even though...gaaahh, I'm tired of giving spoilers. (view spoiler)[Even though she was cured, and yes the feelings she had in the past crooked down to a small dot and her views somehow became mature, there is that feeling inside her that made us want her. The mutual feeling she has with Lena, being her bestfriend.....*me, watery eyes* When...When...When she said after helping Lena to escape from her house where Fred lives, breaks it all. Friendship can be changed my their pathetic cure. "Lena, go." "Why are you doing this, Hana? You're supposed to gave me to them." "I...I was your bestfriend." In my case, I was asdfghjkl, I couldn't say more. But deep inside Hana there is still the feeling of care for Lena and her last chapter, when she was running in the woods away from Fred's house before the explosion, was like. now, Lena, where are you going right now? (hide spoiler)] Lena has become the reader's favorite since Delirium and even then, changed or not changed, she is still one of my favorite girls. The fact of being torn between Past and Present.

Requiem honestly, summed up what the two books wasn't able to tell. From the possibility of life outside, what is the feeling of being cured, what would happen to Julian, Lena and Alex, how they could stop the rising security measures in the locked state of Portland, what happened to Lena's foster family after Delirium, what happened to Alex in Pandemonium, how everything went to chaos...and how Lena finds her long time so-called dead mother. What happened to love, what happened to control. The book summed it all up to satisfy the readers and to answer our questions. The ending, my hope is that, you mustn't be disappointed of the resolution of the story. how it ends, one of the best ending of any Dystopian Books. I tell you, there is that point in the last paragraph Magdalena had said that you'll ask for more. The Last paragraph is the highlight of them all.

Yes, I also love the way Lauren going in depth of the characters, between Lena and Hana. You really can understand what's happening inside and outside and that makes Requiem very much satisfying. Thank you for enjoying my review Dalu. :)
