The only one I've ever read has been Twilight. No shame! I love Twilight! I'm waiting to read Vampire Academy, Sookie Stackhouse, Evernight, and House of Night, though.
Twilight, Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R. Ward, Jeaniene Frost does several great vampire series, Christine Feehan's Dark series was spectacular to me in the beginnning but after book 10 or so I started to see a pattern so she lost me but I still highly recommend the beginning, The Vampire Erotic Theatre series by Felicity Heaton, The Rulers of Darkness series by Amanda Greene, Joey Hill also has a great vampire series. I think that's all I can think of now.
My favorite is Midnight Breed by Lara Adrian and I'm now reading the Chicagoland Vampires and enjoying it very much.
The ones I can think of off the top of my head are Anita Blake by Laurell K. Hamilton, Vampire Memories by Barb Hendee (very dark and I haven't read the last one yet, but loved the first 4), and Morganville Vampires by Rachel Caine. Oh and the Gardella Vampire Chronicles by Colleen Gleason. There are others like Cassandra Palmer, Sookie Stackhouse, Chicagoland Vampires, Vampire Princess of St. Paul and the Dark Ink Chronicles to name just a few that get honorable mention.
I think I listed almost all the series that I have read with vampires in them. Crap just thought of another one. I think i have a problem.
I love Vampire Academy and Bloodlines by Richelle Mead, Morganville Vampires by Rachel Caine, and (though not all about vamps) Mortal Instruments series by Casandra Clare. I liked Vampire Kisses as well. That one was cute :) I can't think of any more right now, but there's a lot of good ones.

Hendee, set in a fantasy world, with elves and other creatures, but mostly dealing with Vampires.
I have read all the Twilight books and that's it so far. I'm interested in getting into The Vampire Diaries and Vampire Academy though.
My favorites are the Anita Blake books by Laurell K. Hamilton, the Sookie Stackhouse / Southern Vampires series by Charlaine Harris, and the Hollows books by Kim Harrison. None of these series feature a vampire as the main protagonist, but vampires do play major supporting roles in each. :)I also recently enjoyed the Bloodhound Files books by D.D. Barant. Again, the main protagonist in this series is not a vampire, but her boss is. And I just finished the first two books in the Elemental Assassin series by Jennifer Estep. Vampires are in this world, but not (perhaps yet?) really major players.
I would have to say my favorite would have to be Jeaniene Frost's Halfway to the Grave series (Night Huntress series). They are amazingly good.

Out of all of your To Read Vamp picks, the only one I haven't read is Ever Night. I hear it's really good though. If you like vampires, you should also check out The Morganville Vampire series.

I don't think you have a problem, just a love for the undead... okay so maybe that could be a considered a problem depending on who you're talking to. Luckily for you, you're talking on a thread of all people who share your love. So you're all good:) The only one's I've read that you mentioned is the Morganville vampires and Sookie Stackhouse. Which by the way, I absoutely love both series. I can't wait for the last Sooke Stackhouse that's coming out soon and Morganville has always been a go to series for me when I don't have anything new. I've saddly read it countless times. So, it might be true... I have a problem too lol... Maybe we should start a meeting for people like us. Here I'll start... My name is Nicole... and I'm addicted to the undead lol

Once you are done with Vamp Academy, there is also a spin off series called Blood Lines. I love them all.

Cassandra Clare is touring here this month and I'm super siked to go to the signing:)

lol!
Jen wrote: "Why are you looking at me like that?"I think I ask my husband that question everyday. He just doesn't understand a nice, healthy obsession.
Amber wrote: "I think I ask my husband that question everyday. He just doesn't understand a nice, healthy obsession."I know! Back when I was able to work (I'm disabled and had to stop working, sadly) I'd always have a book in hand...I read when walking, on lunch breaks, at the bus stops, on the bus, everywhere! I got some strange looks. (I actually probably got a lot more than I realized, since my nose was always buried in a book! lol!)
Probably my greatest fear is losing my eyesight and losing the ability to read. (Actually, greatest fear is losing my family, but you probably know what I mean.) I will never have laser surgery to correct my vision because I just don't want to risk a complication that could result in the loss of my sight. Glasses work perfectly and besides, I've been wearing glasses for over 20 years now and I just think my face looks funny and unfinished without them. ;)

Eyesight loss is my biggest fear too! It would be nice to get the correction with surgery, but I think technology still needs to advance a bit more before I could thnk of it.
I LOVE Halfway to the Grave, Vampire Academy, Red-Headed Stepchild, Glass Houses, Vampire Kisses, Evernight. I've read a lot more, but those are my favorite. I'm a fan of the undead LOL ;)
I liked Twilight but love Wings in the night series, love at stake series, the argeneau family vampires series and midnight breed series
I loved Twilight, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and want to read several of the others mentioned here. :)
I have 3 favorite vampire series :1: Vampire Queen series by Joey W. Hill
2:Chicoagoland Vampires Series by Chloe Neill
3:Night Huntress by Jeanine Frost
The Elemental Mysteries Series by Elizabeth HunterThe Dominion Series by S.E. Lund
Scanguards Vampires by Tina Folsom
Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice (the first vampire book I read; some day I'll finish the series)
Forgot to mention Twilight. I read the series and really enjoyed it. I credit the series with getting me back into my reading groove and rekindling my interest in PNR.

Vampires in America by D.B. Reynolds, The Blood Curse series by Tessa Dawn, The Love at Stake series by Kerrelyn Sparks, The Immortal Guardians series by Dianne Duvall, Dead in the City series by Sara Humphreys, The Dark series by Christine Feehan and The Argeneau series by Lynsay Sands just to name a few that I love. I'm truly addicted to the undead, shifters, dragons, Fae and any and all paranormal romance. But, I have to say the vamps are my first love.

Am gutted that Kerrelyn Sparks has finished the Love Stake series.
Tania wrote: "Kellie wrote: "Vampires in America by D.B. Reynolds, The Blood Curse series by Tessa Dawn, The Love at Stake series by Kerrelyn Sparks, The Immortal Guardians series by Dianne Duvall, Dead in the C..."I know, I miss it so much it was definitely one of my favs.
My favorites are: Dianne Duvall's Immortal Guardians, D.B. Reynold's Vampires in America, Alexandra Ivy's Guardian's of Eternity, Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress and Night Prince, Rebecca Zanetti's Dark Protectors and Teresa Gabelman's The Protectors
ok so hard to choose my favourite but jeaniene frost and sherrilyn kenyon have got to be near the top of my list
Danielle wrote: "Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice is my favorite. The Sookie Stackhouse series has been good so far."I'm with you, Danielle, on the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice! She's so philosophical and fascinating to read. She gives her readers so much to think about.
I really liked the first 4 or 5 Argeneau books, but then they lost something. They weren't as funny, I missed the familiar characters, I don't know...they all started to seem the same. My favorite vampire series is Vampires in America, by DB Reynolds. Dark and sexy
P.N. Elrod's Jack Flemming books are good. I think the series is finished though. If you want a really dark sci fi/horror series: Necroscope by Brian Lumley.
Just finished reading the first book of a new series. 'Saint Vampire' looking forward to book 2 'Holy Water and Blood'http://amazon.com/dp/B015TBKKR2
Loved the Vampire Chronicles/AnneRice for a very long time. Re-read Interview with a vampire recently, it's a little outdated now (1976) but remains a classic in that genre, despite whinny Louis. I love the Twilight saga which gave a twist to the genre and brought a broader audience.
But the series that rock is the Sookie Stackhouse one, by Charlaine Harris. Fun story line, great/witty writing and my favorite fictional book boyfriend, Eric Northman. ;)
