Chloe Testa | 2 comments Hi all. I'm Chloe and I'm an English teacher who has just released my first novel which is quite exciting. I love to read and enjoy nothing more than a good book (perhaps this is why I chose to teach!).
Hoping to get to know you all soon!

Lynn Montagano Hi everyone!

My name is Lynn Montagano and my debut contemporary romance series is being published by HarperImpulse. The first two books are available now (yay!) and are listed here on Goodreads. Please don't be shy and feel free to connect with me here or on Twitter (@LynnMontagano) and Facebook (facebook.com/AuthorLynnMontagano)

I read a little bit of everything but my favorite genre is thriller/horror. If you hear of any great new titles please pass them along my way!

I hope to chat with some of you soon! Take care.
Lynn

Davida Chazan (chocolatelady) | 4 comments Hello everyone. I'm a reviewer for three places these days. One is my own personal blog, another is Curious Book Fans, and I just started blogging for The Times of Israel. I receive ARCs from NetGalley and also the Curious Book Fans site. I also review books I buy and for authors who I've either reviewed books for in the past or who I receive strong recommendations for or are very good and forgiving friends of mine. I'm mostly into literary fiction - both contemporary and historical, as well as women's fiction and YA if it isn't too sappy.

Piccolo Fortunato | 2 comments Hello, I'm Eileen. Like many of you I also write--an addiction that started when my own kids were young; living in VT with no TV and no internet connection, we'd entertain each other with stories and poems, some which were published (Spider,Cricket) and some which are still the basis for new books. (www.piccolonyc.com) I am thrilled to have found Goodreads--and look fwd to reading MG/YA and nonfiction of new authors!

Winifred Morris | 9 comments Hi! I'm Winifred. I'm the author of several books for kids including some YA that were published by NY publishers, but I got tired of teenage angst, and the publishing world has sure changed. I decided I wanted to write for adults, humorous books for women with some romance, some suspense, just fun reads. My new book: Of Mice and Money

Piccolo Fortunato | 2 comments Hi, I'm E Merwin and I'm new to GR.
Was actually surprised (maybe a little thrilled) when in response to a my first short review of Venice Experiments by Barry Frangipane, I got a response from the author, and thought: this is way better than facebook. It seems like this group will be a good fit for me as I think books and readers; authors and fans should be in communication-- where better than here?

Hi, my name is Ann Werner and I write thrillers. However, my last novel was more of a paranormal romance with the different slant. I would love some reviews for each of my books and if you visit my page, they're all there.

If you want to know more about me and my books you can also visit my website: http://annwerner.info.

Hi Cindy, you sound like my kinda gal! Please check out my books. From what you wrote, any one of them would be right up your alley! My latest, Cooper's Grove, is a paranormal love story (don't think bodice ripper, 'cuz that's not the way I roll) with a different slant.

Jeff Russell | 4 comments Hello everyone,
I’m Jeff Russell, a Goodreads author of two novels about ordinary people caught in trying circumstances. These are literary fiction in the action/adventure genre with a touch of romance and targeted for ‘thinkers’ who enjoy piecing together clues. I’m happy to provide ebook downloads (any format) to readers willing to provide a review. You can learn more at CabsLantern.com and can contact me at CabsLantern@gmail.com. Very happy to have discovered this group!

David Rose Hi everyone, I'm David Rose. I have four short stories and have contributed to Pocket-sized Yarns, an indie authored anthology of about 20 microstories which is available free from Smashwords. Let me tell you, writing a good story in under 540 words (see the book to find out why) is demanding! I'm currently working on two full-length books and a compilation of SF short stories.
I love reading as well as writing, and invite anyone who would like a review to send me a PM. If I like the look of your book, I'll probably agree. My 'home' genres are Fantasy, SF, YA and I really don't mind a little romance thrown in there. Okay, I like a love story. I don't much like horror (unless it's very SF) and won't read 'adult' romance. Good to find this group (thank you, Winifred Morris!), and I look forward to getting to know you all.

Darker Shades Of Obsession by J.R. King

Josephine McNabb | 5 comments Hi, I'm Josephine. I'm an avid reader and I have published one book Fire and Fangs and book two is due to be released by the end of February.

My favourite genre is PNR/UF and my favourite authors are Kresley Cole, Ilona Andrews and Jennifer Estep (to name but a few...)

Anne Carter | 4 comments This looks like a great group! I am the author of contemporary and paranormal romance. My Beacon Point Romance series are books that all take place in or around lighthouses (my other love!) and have a paranormal thread (ghosts and psychics). Not currently reviewing too many books as I am eyeball deep into my WIP.

message 168: by Lindsey (new)

Lindsey Jayne (lindseyjayneauthor) | 4 comments Hi there! Lindsey Jayne here.

I was pointed in this direction by one, Ashley Stoyanoff, author of the Soul's Mark and Deadly series.

I have just published my first novel on Amazon, entitled Invoking the Witch. It's a paranormal thriller with a dash of romance. Lots of murder, magic and alpha vamps.

I have posted a thread under the relevant genres, but just in case, I am up for review exchanges. I read pretty quickly so you wouldn't be waiting too long to hear from me... I am UK based, though, so time difference would vary.

message 175: by Liis (new)

Liis (cvr_2_cvr) Hi all,

My name is Liis (or Liz for anyone else who isn't Estonian :) )
I live in Ireland and devour books every day. I keep a blog and recently started writing reviews there and on Goodreads, also on Amazon for authors I have been in contact with.
My blog is wall to wall but my review section is here https://liisthinks.wordpress.com/cate...
I also do author interviews- https://liisthinks.wordpress.com/cate...

I keep an open mind about book genres- I don't want to miss reading anything good even though it might be in a genre I normally wouldn't go for.

As many of us here, I would also hope to write my own book.. It hasn't happened this far, unfortunately.. perhaps I am meant to be just a reader :)

message 176: by Rashers (new)

Rashers Tierney | 1 comments Hi All--

I'm looking for reviews of my new book on Ireland and the Irish. E-book copies are FREE --with no obligation--for anyone who will review...

It's a snappy and fun read. Despite the jokey premise, there's lots of unusual information and quirky history packed into these 182 pages. Get in touch if you're interested.

From battling oppression and famine in Ireland to overcoming poverty and discrimination in America, we Irish gained our fightin’ moniker by standing up for our rights and earning the respect we deserve. Now, the amazing feats, astounding people and incredible facts in this fascinating book of Irish culture and history will reveal why the Irish are...

•SMART
(from ancient monks to James Joyce)
•TOUGH
(from boxing champs to Liam Neeson)
•SEXY
(from redheaded lasses to Colin Farrell)
•TALENTED
(from step-dancing troupes to Bono)
•INVENTIVE
(from tech companies to the Model T)
•FUN
(from raucous wakes to St. Patrick’s Day)
and sometimes. . .
•OCCASIONALLY BANJAXED
(thanks to great whiskey and Guinness)

message 178: by Jeff (new)

Jeff Russell | 4 comments Review swap offer,
Any indie authors out there willing to swap reviews? If so then check out my website at www.CabsLantern.com and if you see a book that you’re interested in reading then drop me a line CabsLantern@gmail.com

Ground-rules: First, serious offers only. I know the frustration of investing the time to read a book and compose a thoughtful review only to be stood-up. If I review your book then I expect you to do the same. Second, I’m relatively open to genre but I stop reading when the story resorts to gratuitous violence or graphic sex as a substitute for literary talent. Third, I hope to do one of these a month so I need to keep the word count below 100K. I likewise expect your review to be posted (on Goodreads and Amazon) within a month.

I know how difficult it is for indie authors to get meaningful reviews and I believe we can gain some traction by helping each other out.
Cheers,
Jeff Russell

Jeffrey (jeffreymarcusoshins) | 1 comments Can't find a category for my Washington novel Women in Politics to be published in February 2016. The closest I found was historical but that doesn't seem right since it's fiction and not based on a specific event rather a compilation of experiences I had working for Congress for a dozen years and three presidential campaigns. Can anyone make a suggestion?
