SOLVED - Back in time - children, medieval castle, amulet, wolf [s]

A few postings down about a girl going back in time jogged my memory (but not enough) of this children's book I would check out again and again from my library.

Girl and a boy on a picnic with their parents in England by the ruins of a castle. They wander off and when they come back, they've gone back in time and the castle is in its full glory. Then ... there's a wronged prince or someone who is cursed to turn into a wolf. An amulet he has or the children must get to end the curse and get a bad person off the throne. And that's about all I remember.
