Jonathan (jonathan_maberry) | 69 comments My nonfiction book, ZOMBIE CSU: The Forensics of the Living Dead (Citadel Press, 2008) has just been nominated for a Bram Stoker Award.

The book is built around interviews with over 250 experts in law enforcement, forensics, medicine, science, the military, the clergy, the press, etc. in which I ask them how the real world would deal with events such as those described in the zombie movies. I started with 911 operators and got all the way to Homeland Security. Experts included world-class epidemiologists, SWAT commanders, martial arts experts, and forensics techs of all kinds.

There are also interviews with pop culture folks like Max Brooks, Brian Keene, David Wellington, Tony Todd, Patricia Tallman, the cast of the new Dawn of the Dead, and scores of others.

It's a fun book...check it out.

Doug Lewis (dalewis0011) | 11 comments well congrats man ... i saw this at all of my major book stores about a month ago .. then found out what it was all about and just rode a big lap around my entire city on bicyle to get a copy ...

i just got home very sweaty because every store is sold out! I have to order it on amazon now.

thats a good sign for you ... right?

i want to read it as a bit of a reference for my own writing .. i assume it will hold up for that, based on the reviews.
