June 2015 Roundup
1. Did you complete and/or get up to date in any series this month? I was able to complete one of my series which was the Shadow Falls series, I thought it was a great end to the series.
2. Did you start any new series? If so, what were they? Will you continue?
I started a few more series, which were
*I plan on reading the next book in the Blackbird Duology.
*I'm not sure if I will continue the Graceling Realm anytime soon because the first book wasn't all that intriguing to me.
*Maybe in a few months I'll get onto Where She Went which is the second book in If I Stay.
*I don't plan on reading the next book in the House of Night series anytime soon because this just wasn't a series for me.
*I do want to read the next book in the Sweet Trilogy soon because I really liked this book.
Overall, I wasn't really impressed with the new series I started this month.
3. Did you move forward in any series? How many?
Yes, 4 :D
The Violet Eden Chapters by Jessica Shirvington
Summer by Jenny Han
Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles
The Dark Elements by Jennifer L. Armentrout
The Selection by Kiera Cass
4. Any standout or 5 star books read? Why did you love it/them?
Yes there were a few
*I really loved Entice which is the 2nd book in the Violet Eden Chapters. It was so far my favorite in the series.
*When I first started the Summer series by Jenny Han, I didn't love the first book (3 stars from me) but I loved loved the second book. It was really well written and I really enjoyed it.
*Rules of Attraction, I always love books where first the guy and girl hate each other and then end up loving each other. Beautifully written.
*Chosen at Nightfall was the last book in the Shadow Falls series and I really loved this one, it was a perfect end to the series.
1. Did you complete and/or get up to date in any series this month?
I completed three series: Last Chance Rescue by Christy Reece, Windfall Island by Anna Sullivan and Night Huntress by Jeaniene Frost. I'm now up to date in four series: Buchanan-Renard by Julie Garwood, Fatal by Marie Force, Lucy Kendall by Stacy Green and Stark International by J. Kenner.
2. Did you start any new series? If so, what were they? Will you continue?
I started six new series: Beartooth Montana by B. J. Daniels, Maiden Lane by Elizabeth Hoyt, Titanium Security by Kaylea Cross, Return to Briarwood by Elisabeth Barrett, Stark International by J. Kenner and Leo Demidov by Tom Rob Smith. I'm continuing all of them.
3. Did you move forward in any series? How many? Yes, I moved forward in four series: Thunder Point by Robin Carr, Lucy Kendall by Stacy Green, Buchanan-Renard by Julie Garwood and Kate Burkholder by Linda Castillo.
4. Any standout or 5 star books read? Why did you love it/them?
I had two 5-star reads, Gone To Die by Stacy Green and One Night with You by Marie Force. The first was so emotionally and intellectually complex I couldn't put it down. The second was a prequel to a series that provided the background for the main couple's first encounter that we all wanted and it delivered.

Good to nip a series in the bud if it's no longer working for you. Six new ones to move forward sounds exciting.

It's wonderful when books withstand the time test. I'm also glad you're enjoying the Dare River series. Dare Valley continues to be my favorite.

Erin wrote: "Did you enjoy the Hathaways overall, Robin? "I loved The Hathaways, especially Leo and Marks. I can't decide if I like Kleypas' historical romances (Hathaways, Wallflowers) or her contemporary romances (Travis) better.
Such a hard call! I wouldn't be able to decide either. Although, if we were talking about her more recent contemporary attempt (Friday Harbor) I would definitely choose her historicals!I think my favourite Hathaway couple is a tie between Cam and Amelia and Poppy and Harry :).

Wow Tracey! I'm impressed not only with your progress but your not starting any new series. That's hard and it certainly puts a huge dent in your TBR and series list. Good job!
I'm thrilled you loved Reunion, which is one of my favorites, too.
