"Kabul Beauty School" sounds very interesting. I enjoy reading about the lives of women who must wear the veil. Thank you for posting, Elain :)

3) The Road by Cormac McCarthy

I've created a bookshelf "50 in 2008" so I can keep track of my books I've read this year. I thought it would be neat if other people used it to keep track too.
