So, does this mean that all the fighting is done and everything has been fixed for the better? I've been on the fence about staying or not because there was fighting and people were suggesting things but everyone seemed more concerned with yelling at one another rather than looking at the suggestions?

Hi! My name is Mae. I don't want to be a pain to anyone, I've never done one of these game things before and I'm kind of confused on how to do it. Like I said I don't want to be a pain, but could someone help me out a little?

Honestly I feel like a total idiot, but I have no clue what to do, when to do it, how to do it or how this all even works. So do you think you can explain the whole thing? I feel a little bad but you got to learn somewhere. :)

1. Make up your own character, like you're writing a book. There's a template to follow.
2. RP is writing, you have to stick with the plot form a connection with your characters so your character can form a connection with the character you're role playing with.
3.its a game so chillax and be creative, have fun during it. Create amazing plot and follow it through.

^-^ okay, so a basic definition of Roleplaying is essentially making up a character(like in a book) and pretending to be them, coming up with a personality, backstory and so on for this character, which is what we do here in this group. in regards to the claims, its kinda more like a checklist almost of all the roles that are available in this roleplay. Being one about the Hunger Games, the claims for those roles are to make sure we don't have seven District 1 tributes when there is only 2 for each district.
The Face Claims thread is where you can go and reserve the use of any actor, actress, model, etc that you wish to use as the 'face' of your character. This does not mean that you use the actor or whoever's personality or anything, it is more to give people an idea of what your character will look like, though you are always welcome to just write a description instead.
For making the characters, we the moderators of the group will post a template of what kind of requirements we want you to have when filling out a profile. A profile is essentially an overview of your character that you and other members can refer to so that we can learn about them and understand if perhaps they react in a way we did not expect or something. Most templates will have the following
Name: The name you give your character, it can be essentially anything and I have an awesome website you can use if you are ever at a loss for names
Age: Most groups will give you an age range (the min or max age a character can be in the group) to let you know what your working with, help with finding claims and so on
Gender: self-explanatory
Appearance: Here you can post some pictures, or write about how the character looks. If you write it out though, be sure to be detailed so people can really visualize what they look like ^-^ just saying its a girl with brown hair and brown eyes doesn't really help much, yeah?
Personality: Here's where some people can get stuck, while others dig deep. The personality of your character is pretty important, I think, in that what you put here usually is what personality is expected in the roleplay. While this doesn't mean that during the course of the rp their personality won't change, they are essentially people and people grow and change after all, it is always good to have something to start off of. Don't be afraid to dig deep into the character, put what their afraid of, dreams and aspirations, likes and dislikes, strengths and weaknesses, what they love most in the world, what they couldn't live without, the list goes on but the biggest thing is to make them feel real. Again, I'd be more than happy to help in this regard as well.
History: History, depending on what groups you join, can be pretty important. Some groups have history be the defining factors of your characters. Here, not so much. We know much about how the districts are, so writing a history here is actually going to be super easy so long as what you put matches the district you make them for. ex- it wouldn't make sense for someone from District 12 to be a super rich, glitzy dolled up model, that would be more along the lines of District 1.
Other: This can cover a wide variety of things, from if they have a pet, to any awards they have, special skills, and so on.
This might be a lot to take in haha XD so don't be afraid to ask a lot of questions so that we can help you have the best time possible in this group ^-^ we mods are here to help after all, and you're lucky in that a lot of members in this group are veterans to GR and roleplaying as well, I'm sure they'd be happy to help you too!
