Hey! ( lol yes, I finally updated!).
So, since summer is starting, I thought we should do a quick light read, and start off contemporary with "Since You've Been Gone" by Morgan Matson. What do you think?
If you have other ideas, feel free to add!

I definitely wished I'd read this in the summer -- not just for the fact that it's a light read, but that it takes place in the summer and so it feels like an appropriate time to read it. :)
Another book I read (around the same time as this one) and wished I'd read in the summer was Panic by Lauren Oliver -- similarly, it takes place during the summer, and it's a pretty quick read once you get started.
Happy reading!

Yes this is a great read for the summer! It's a really good idea. If you're looking for other suggestions, Amy and Roger's epic detour by the same author is another great read for summer and I personally liked the Sarah Dessen books, but I know that there are a lot of people who disagree with me. "Graffiti Moon" by... um someone, is also really good and quick because it only takes place over a night and a bit. And finally, I would completely and utterly recommend any Jacklyn Moriarty book, particularly "Feeling sorry for Celia" or "Finding Cassie Crazy" because they're both hilarious and really sweet.
And if later on you fancy something still quite quick to read but a little bit sad, that's less light but still worth a read, Broken soup by Jenny Valentine is really good and definitely "The Strange and Beautiful sorrows of Ava Lavender" by Leslye Walton
