*mops up drool*

Now, now, Eris. It will be all the better for the waiting.

message 53: by Elaney (new)

Elaney | 323 comments I'm currently crying my eyes out. Can anyone guess why?

message 54: by Elevetha , The Whole Damn Time (new)

Elevetha | 1717 comments Mod
Doomsday??? Yup. It hurts, doesn't it?

message 55: by Elaney (new)

Elaney | 323 comments Two question:
1) Does Rose ever come back?

2) Why doesn't anyone else in my family watch Doctor Who?

message 56: by Marlene, Commander of the SSV Normandy (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) | 844 comments Mod
1) Yes, Rose comes back. A part of me wishes she hadn't, though. I like the tragic ending of Doomsday.

2) Do what I did - ASSIMILATE THEM.

And wow, Ellie, look! Comments of ours that were two months into our friendship.

That's classic history, that is.

1. Yes, but not for long. Don't get your hopes up.

2. Make them!

Tell me how it goes!

Elaney | 323 comments If I can get them to sit down..... I mean, living plastic?
Not the best thing to get them hooked.

I agree - don't show them that one. Hmmmmmmm... I always use The Eleventh Hour, but you've got a few series to go before you get to that one. Perhaps The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances or Dalek?

Oh, I know! The Girl in the Fireplace. Yup. Girl in the Fireplace. Amazing episode filled with romance, adventure, history, and a beautiful storyline. What do you think? What sort of shows does your family normally watch?

message 64: by Elaney (new)

Elaney | 323 comments Hmmm..... My brother loves Gundam, my mom likes food TV, and my dad watches whatever is on at the moment.

message 65: by Elaney (new)

Elaney | 323 comments Oh! I forgot! My mom loves Sherlock and Downton Abbey.

message 66: by Marlene, Commander of the SSV Normandy (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) | 844 comments Mod
Do you think they'd be okay with a bit of a romantic story?

message 67: by Elaney (new)

Elaney | 323 comments My mom would be fine. But my brother and my dad might fall asleep.

message 68: by Marlene, Commander of the SSV Normandy (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) | 844 comments Mod
Oh, and your mom loves Sherlock and Downton Abbey! :D Excellent. The majority of Sherlockians discover Doctor Who at some point. Yeah, I think The Girl in the Fireplace would be a good episode for her.

message 69: by Elaney (new)

Elaney | 323 comments Do you think she would be confused at all?

Elaney wrote: "My mom would be fine. But my brother and my dad might fall asleep."

Well, if they fall asleep, put on Dalek for them or something after The Girl in the Fireplace is done. Although, you never know - they may like it. :)

Elaney wrote: "Do you think she would be confused at all?"

Everyone's confused when they first watch Doctor Who. But she watches Sherlock. If she isn't confused by that, she'll be good.

I hope.

Elaney | 323 comments If my brother likes it he could be in for relentless teasing (from me)!

message 73: by Marlene, Commander of the SSV Normandy (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) | 844 comments Mod
Well, make sure it's nice teasing. :) My brother adores Downton Abbey, and I try not to give him too much crap for that.

message 74: by Elaney (new)

Elaney | 323 comments My brother teases me for liking Downton Abbey, he hates all things romantic. And yes. It might will be nice teasing.

Hehe. You do that. :D

That's if he likes it... well, you don't know until you find it!

Certainty of death. Small chance of success. What are we waiting for?

message 76: by Elaney (new)

Elaney | 323 comments He's visiting our cousins right now, and we won't see him until wednesday. But my parents are around...

message 77: by Marlene, Commander of the SSV Normandy (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) | 844 comments Mod
Try the parents first. You might have to tailor a different episode for your brother. In fact, I think he might like "Blink." Which is halfway into Series 3, but you'll probably reach it by the time he gets back.
