Mimi stared at him and took a seat, while looking out into the ocean. "Don't you ever get tired of seeing just blue?" She asked him, "I miss the wonderful trees and grass."

Alice turned when she heard Mimi's voice, but she was talking to someone, so she didn't interrupt.
"Yes one does get tired of the same color." John agreed looking at her than back out at the ocean.
Mimi stood back up, tired of the depressing unicolored ocean. "I think I'm going to go somewhere else. This is seriously getting me depressed. Want to come along?" She asked him.
"Sure." John replied, "but you have to admit the ocean is beautiful." John paused before saying, "well in its own right."
Mimi rolled her eyes and started to walk off of the deck.
Alice sat for awhile, just staring, slightly lost in her thoughts. Eventually she sighed, got up and went back to her room.
John and Mimi walked on the upper deck, Mimi jumping in excitement, ready I take on the task at hand.
"Well this should be fun." He said smiling.
"Awesome! Let's get to it then!" She said happily.
"You remember the scuba gear right?"
"Yeah! Pretty cool stuff if you ask me," she said with a smile, "why?"
"We're going to need it." He said smiling.
"So my task is to go get it?" She asked.
"No that would be boring it's right here just put it on and we'll be fine and ready to go." He said and took out the gear.
She put all of the gear on, saving the mask for last of course. "so why are we going down there again?" She asked still very curious.
"To collect more blood and to observe new animals."
"Alright then. After you, teacher," se replied as she extended her arm.
"Why thank you." He said jumping into the ocean after all the gear was on. "Freezing as always
She jumped in after him and immediately swam underneath the waves.
"Oi wait up." He said and went in after her.
She swam deeper and stopped to look at the marvelous variation of aquatic animals.
"Hello mimi everything working for you?" He asked over the radio in the rebreather suit.
"I always get sucked into the beauty of this place," she answered, "so where to sergeant?"
"Just follow me." He said swimming past her.
She followed him, taking in the various colors and hummed some of her favorite songs.
"Alright there's a air pocket up there." He said looking up there is a small crab just on the shore can you hold it down while I take it's blood?"
"Uhh fine, but if it atracks.me, I'm leaving," she replied as she hesitantly held down the crab.
quickly he stabbed the crab with a syringe and took it's blood. "Alright we're done.
"no now we run well swim because there are three thousand crabs coming for us."
She looked behind and soon started to swim away.
"I'd hurry." he said as he began to swim.
Mimi reached the boat and started to climb the ladder. "We made it," she said with a smile.
"Just in time." He said looking behind them the mass of dark shells clamoring round the ladder.
Mimi took everything off again and plopped down on a nearby bench. "Wow, I'm exhausted," she said out of breath.
"It was pretty fun though." he said sitting on the bench opposite to hers.
"Totally. What's next?" She said as she jumped on her feet excitedly.
"Well let's test it." He said smiling.
"What do you suppose this one does?" She asked him.
"I have no idea." He said. "That's the beauty of it
She extended her arm for him to inject her.
He took out the syringe and injected Mimi waiting.
She waited for a reaction. A few minted later, she felt her fingers get longer and sharper, turning her fingertips into rough, claws. "Huh, might be useful someday," she replied with a smile.
"well genetic mutation that's interesting." He said looking at her hands.
"Cool," she said as her fingers started to change back.
"Few other blood samples." He said. "But how do you feel right now?"
"Very dehydrated," she replied hoarsely.
"Not surprising." He said and handed her a canteen. "Here you are."
She drank the entire thing in a few seconds.
