"Quite." He murmured sarcastically and chuckled.
"No I'm just thinking." He said.
"Just about back home, about a few people." He murmured.
"Never mind it now." He said.
"No, it's not okay," she murmured, "look, I secretly have feelings for you, and I know I'm only 18, but I think you're really cool and smart, and charming and I'm really sorry. I'm sorry it got carried away." She got up and grabbed her things, ready to leave.
"I'm quite aware that you do, I've been aware of it for quite sometime it doesn't bother me." He said looking at her.
"I'm sorry...this is really awkward. You don't have feelings for me and I do, and we just kissed..." She rambled as her face turned red.
"Listen, I don't care that you kissed me." He said walking towards her.
"Don't apologize you've done nothing wrong." He said.
He stayed quiet closing his eyes.
"I never will." He said softly.
"I'm sorry about not being more talkative." He said.
"Thank you." He said smiling.
"I'm not sure why you're so lonely all the time. So many people would be happy to be your friend," she explained.
"I don't attract many people, that is always why I can't find a boyfriend or date." He muttered sighing and taking out a cigarette and lighting it.
"It's fine don't apologize." He told her as he inhaled the cigarette.
"I do enjoy having you around your quite a caring person and you are generally amazing as a person." He said. "What do you think about me?"
"I always tell you, silly," she said as she slapped his harm playfully, "you're someone I wish I could always be around. You make me smile and you make me feel welcomed. You have this wonderful presence about you. One that makes me extremely happy and playful. Honestly, you're my best friend."
"Now I think that's a little over done." He said. "But thank you very much."
"It's not overdone, it's the way I honestly feel, and I thought it'd be best to just tell you now," she said before walking off.
He watched her go and finished off the cigarette and sitting down watching the sun go down.
John sighed before standing up and walking away to try and sleep.
