Brenda | 4 comments Hello, I have not joined a club on goodreads yet - so I'm not sure how it works. Do we add our favorite magic realism books to the book shelf? Or are you all reading the same book? Let me know - I'm excited to play!

Hi Brenda! I skipped joining groups and just went ahead and created one. So not sure what protocol is, but I think the most important thing is to do with this space whatever you want.

By all means, please, yes, add as many books to the shelf as you like; I think that was my primary motivation in creating the group, really -- sharing titles around with as many people as possible.

If you want to start a book group, i.e. all reading the same thing at that same time, go right ahead. I don't think personally I could join, only because I read so slowly and what I have to read is usually dictated to me months in advance (insert sad but gradually accepting of inevitable fate smiley here). Maybe others in the group though would like to do this (or if not now, maybe when more people have signed up).

Good to meet you -- and looking forward to your suggestions!

Michael.

Anna (anklecandy) | 1 comments Hi Brenda and Michael,
I'm really excited to start reading some of the books already listed on this book shelf, this is also the first group that I joined.
Thanks for the suggestions so far! I loved studying Magic Realism in college and I'm looking forward to 're-introducing' myself to the style. Thanks for providing the perfect tool for this!
If a book group (all reading the same book at the same time) does develop, I would be interested.
Thanks,
Anna

Heidi Garrett (heidi_g) Ooh, I just saw the magical realism listopia list, but this bookshelf is great too! Is anyone else out there? Does anyone have any ideas about how we can get some group discussions going?
