I haven't have the time to get to the Dark Secrets series. Dang! Too many great books and too little time! I wanted to read the 50 shades series, just needed to get my hands on them :/
Yes!! It was amazing! I mean, the brutal murders part :P I love that the killer is sick! Those kind of stories always raise my goosebumps!

I feel sad for Jack :( Poor Damien... damn Neferet! Dark Secrets 2 is good. Have you tried the millenium trilogy by stieg larsson? It's a good mystery book.. boring at first but it gets better.. kind of brutal and there were sexual content because the heroine was abused..

About Fifty Shades...the first book was okay but the sexual content was really heavy (for me) and it's detailed.. i mean DETAILED.. I was like... What the hell?! :o
I just need to read hidden for house of night. Ive read the rest.. And yeah i know it was really DETAILED .. I was like... WHAT THE HELL??!! Lol.. The second book was better than the first for me though.. It was more romantic.. In the first book he didnt really love her.. She was just one of his submissives he could use to let out his anger about his mom.. But in the second he truly loved her.. And when he proposed .. Aww.. But yeah he was nicer, and more romantic and gentle with her it was just an overall more enjoyable book :)
I agree with you Alex. The second book was indeed better..He's really sweet. Sometimes Christian is annoying. He's a control freak. :)) lol
Yeah lol but he got a bit better in the second book.. And i wanna read the 3rd and see what happens next :))

Oh you meant The Girl with the dragon tattoo ? I've wanted to read it and watch the movie too, but I was a few pages in and you're right, it's kinda boring :P so I put it down...Probably I should give it another try :/

@ NatI suggest give it another try.. It was really a boring start. once you get in the middle part, things are pretty exciting. I've watched the movie also (American version) which is good but there is one missing part.
About 50 Shades, the first book was a down for me.. I gave it another chance.. despite of the Adult Content strictly for 18+ the story was good, some scenes are redundant.
I need to read the Millenium series too, but I can't find it in my library now :/

I see the books everywhere and I would admit that it was quite shocking to see it on the shelves in the bookstores in my country (considering my country doesn't approve much on violent/explicit content) so I figured it was a great read. I heard they are making a movie too and Ian Somerhalder auditioned!
The millenium series is supposed to be 7 books, but the author passed away and he only made 3 books, the 4th one is in manuscript and there's an issue regarding that.. I've watched the American version and the Swedish one.. The Swedish version is almost the same as the book, but the american version is more thrilling but one part is not emphasized unlike the original one. It's good. :)

I think erotica books are getting popular because of Fifty Shades xD lol. In my country too, most people here are conservative but oh well. a responsible reader is needed.
If it's going to be a movie... I don't how will I react because of the explicit contents... mostly. Ian Somerhalder fits the role but I couldn't imagine him with another actress, only for Nina Dobrev. :)) LOL

I do agree, just as long as we can stay open minded about it I guess the explicit content won't affect me much :P
Well for one, I think the censorship board will censor, well...50% of the explicit contents? since I have a feeling it's going to be a mainstream film :P

@ Nat The American Version (movie) is not that boring as The Swedish one. Rooney Mara really looks like Lisbeth Salander based on the book description. :)
I don't think it's 50% censorship.. maybe more than that... almost every chapter has explicit contents. I just couldn't imagine it. Christian Grey may be good looking, sexy and charming.. but his sexuality is just.... *finding the right word* way too high.
@ HarshiniO_O I couldn't imagine it as a movie... I mean... HOW? with all those scenes? I agree with your brother.. it's very explicit.

Owh, I have been reading a lot of reviews regarding the movies and that's what they all seemed to say too! Well I think I would have watch the American version too because I can understand English better, haha! Have to start hunting for it, but will it be a huge spoiler if I watch the movie before I read the books?
LOL! Very adult I would say, and maybe way too much for my *still innocenct* mind xD but they call the series mummy porn and it was hilarious that they call it that! But it still appear as a shock to me that Ian would volunteer to audition for it :P

@ NatI read the books first, so I had a background of what will happen to the movie.. When my dad watched it, he find it confusing.. It will be a spoiler if you watch it first and you may find it confusing.
I could picture Ian as Christian Grey.. He really fits for it. The trilogy is good.. the first book was okay, and I sort of didn't like it.. I give it a chance on the second book which is better till the last book.
I don't mind sexual contents (because I'm taking a medical field course in college) but this is way too much. It will poison your innocent mind for sure.
Lol yeahh :) true blood kind of changed my perspective when i started watching it a few years ago.. It has very sexual content as well ;/

Haha! I started watching True blood a few years back too! But I was addicted to it, not as addicted to TVD, but awesome series as well :P *ignoring the sexual content*

Well then, it's probably faster for me to look for the books than the movie! From the trailer, it really did piqued my interest, especially the character of Lisbeth herself! Quite a mystery ;)
Ian or not, I always envisioned Christian Grey as a black suit tie kinda person (because of the covers xD)definitely a hottie.

@ NatShe's one dangerous heroine. Definitely a kick ass. I think she's the best kick ass heroine I've ever encountered in a book. :) The twists are so good especially in the second book.
He's definitely a hottie. :) lol. They say it's either Matt Bomer or Ian Somerhalder.. Oh well, it will be a surprise I guess. I just couldn't imagine it's going to be a movie. LOL :)

In Vampire Diaries, hmm.. the sequence is different. I think the TV show is more organized than the books. I stopped at The Shadow Souls.. I don't know which to read first. so...I gave up.
After shadow souls was midnight and then she made a hunters trilogy where it continued off from there and they went to college, and it goes in this order: phantom, moonsong, and destiny rising

@ NatLisbeth Salander is one heroine that shouldn't be underestimated. I'll avoid spoilers for now till you read it.. ;) The movie contains explicit scenes.. (abuse, violence..) I saw it on TV (trailer) only once.
LOL.. Rated....R.. for Restricted for (insert age here) or maybe ask the viewer's age before entering the cinema. LOL.
