Sandra wrote: "I've got the first couple of those ones Steph Ann, but I haven't read them, so I hope they're good ;)"Sandra, I remember really enjoying the first one. It's apparently been awhile since I read it though because I'm having a really hard time following what's going on right now in the 2nd book. I'm only 5% in though, so I'm sure it'll get better, lol.
Well, I'm set if purple is called again. ALL the books in the 'Fatal' series have a purple cover. I wonder if that's good for sales? People may think they already read the books, specially because all the titles start with 'Fatal'.
Obviously their marketing people were taking a break the day they decided that. I hate when books look & sound toooo much like others in the series. They need to be at least different colours.
Yes, I think it's a mistake as well. If you want continuity in the covers, that's why you have fonts and style. Colors should definitely be different. I mean, look at these! They all seem like the same book!
Its definitely a Fatal Flaw. LOL.I have a lot of books, and its hard to keep track sometimes, so every bit helps, and those covers don't help at all.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! It must certainly is!
Maybe that's why she's been giving away the first book in the series. I got it as a freebie first from Amazon and then I got the audio for $4.95.
Title/Author How to Date a Werewolf by Rose Pressey
Series: Rylie Cruz #1
Finished: 3/5/2013
Rating: ★★★
Space: #99 Purple Cover
Fun story of a single werewolf, Rylie Cruz who runs a dating service for paranormal creatures from an office below her apartment in the French quarter in New Orleans. She is dealing with the mystery of who is trying to sabotage her business and getting help from her human roommate Jennifer and the new hunky neighbor a shrink. Very good read if you are looking for some light fun reading and not bothered by side stories that are not wrapped up.
I picked that one up as a freebie Lis, good to know its good. The side stories will probably be wrapped in the following couple of books ;)
My book started soo good and now it's soo boring! I don't know if there's anything more tiring than following around a cop for every second of the day. I'm tired on her behalf (the woman almost never sleeps.)Also, the relationship is boring, boring. So far it's mostly: I cannot be with you because of the investigation but the guy keeps insisting. I mean, give her a break! Why can't you understand that it's not good for her career to fool around with a material witness?
I have high hopes that it improves but I'm really tempt it to dnf it.
Oh no, sounds like its Fatally Flawed rather than an Affair to Remember. *snicker*There's still time to switch to something else if you want to D.G., how far did you get?
On a happier note, I'm nearly finished mine, another 30 pages or so ;)
I'm about 1/3 of the way in. But the book fits 2 other challenges I'm in so I'll continue giving it a try. I'm just hoping it improves.
6/3/13 ★★★
Week #6: Purple
Space: #99
Karma Girl was like watching a full length Saturday morning cartoon; cheesy, over the top, surprising and predictable with added spandex.
Carmen Cole, reporter, on her wedding day gets a bad feeling and goes to see her fiance to find out what is bothering him. She discovers him getting busy with Carmen's best friend the bridesmaid, she also discovers he is a superhero and the friend is an ubervillain.
Thus a revenge crazed Carmen sets out to unmask all superheroes and villains, no matter who they are, until she hits Bigtime and the hero commits suicide when he's exposed.
Of course, that's not the whole story, there are lots of twists and turns even if you can see who the heroes and villains are long before Carmen can. That's how cartoons are.
Lots of fun.

I should have my book finished tomorrow. I haven't had as much time to read this week as usual. Real life should know better than to get in the way of my reading time, lol. :)
Always the way.Last week we welcomed a great nephew, Liam, to the world, and this week a great niece, Violet.
I've only seen Violet so far and she's gorgeous :)
I wrote a bigger review but I figured I should give you the cliff notes version, LOL!Book:

Review: This book started great. The mystery was multi-layered with a complex victim. Most of the time in mysteries/romantic suspense, murdered people are just bodies and the reader rarely gets to see them as real people with virtues and vices. Not in this one. The friends and family of the murdered Senator showed real grief at his passing and it was wonderful to see Nick, the hero, being overwhelmed by the murder of his best friend.
But around a third of the way in, the story became dragging and boring. At this point, the focus was on the investigation and we had to see every single interview Sam (the heroine) conducted and her pushing around all the witnesses.
Even though I had problems with this book, I was considering checking out the rest of the series until I learned the rest of the books in the series feature the same couple! I didn't like Sam enough to be in her head so much.

Congratulations! I miss the new baby stage... I hope you are able to spoil them!
Violet is the only one that lives fairly close, my sis's first grandchild, so no doubt spoiling will happen :DD

Review:
I haven't read that many books by Meljean Brook, but I find I really enjoy her writing style. This book was no different in that regard. The main characters here are Colin and Savi, who we met in book 1. Other returning characters include book 1 main characters Lilith and Hugh, as well as Sir Pup, the three-headed hellhound.
It took me awhile to get into the book, mainly because it had been so long since I read book 1, and I was having a very hard time remembering what happened and the intricacies of the world Brook has created. Once my memory was refreshed, however, I greatly enjoyed the story, and I was on the edge of my seat until the very end. My one negative would be (view spoiler). I'll definitely be reading book 3 sooner rather than later!!["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
So which colors are you guys hoping for this week? I'd really like Green - there's a book I'd DYING to listen. If we don't get Green, then I hope for Yellow or even another Purple. We've been moving at a snail's pace the last two weeks so I'd like something that would move us forward!
(Hope I'm not jinxing us, LOL!)
Green, Purple, Orange & I've found another Red :)Got a blue library book I should read soonish, as well.
I FINALLY got my hands on a copy of
, so I'd really love to be able to read that. I've literally been stalking my library's website for the past few weeks to see where I was in the holds queue for this book, lol.
That was a good one Steph Ann! Yellow for me...And Sandra I saw you were reading
and had to check it out, so I downloaded to browse and I'm at 65% done...
Oh and Lis, when you've finished, you can read the orgy scene on her website. It's the deleted scene from the original edition :DDDDD Steamin!!!!!

Review:
Killing time is the first book in Cindy Gerard One Eyed Jacks series.
Cindy Gerard has always managed to find a great balance between the romance and suspense in her books.
Killing time had plenty of action right from the start and Mike and Eva were sizzling hot as a couple but I found the romance aspect lacking in their relationship and found it harder to buy into their love.
The story progresses at a great pace and the author did a great job with character development. The best thing about Killing Time for me were the characters, Primetime was very sexy and lovable as a hero and Eva was one of the best heroine's I've come across in a romantic suspense. She was smart, sexy and kick-ass.
Killing Time was a great start to the series and I look forward to reading more about Taggart and Cooper who were breifly introduced towards the second half of the book
