Does this happen to any of you? Sometimes in real life when I'm about to pull something epic I quote Karsa! I go "witness!!" and then against all odds lift something heavy! And nobody around me calls me warleader and I get angry!

Lori Haha! Well I'm not as obsessed with Karsa. Btw on SE's site he wrote a long essay "The Problem with Karsa" which you should read, very interesting.

That link isn't working cause THC is a closed group.

But that's why groups like this are so important - I'm not so lonely!

The Crimson Fucker (tcf123) | 38 comments Try again! The Fuckers even went and made a poll about it! I fucking haters!

Still my question remains! Do you ever talk like any of the characters in the series!? Or use references to it?

Also! I I went and read it! Thank you for that!

The Crimson Fucker (tcf123) | 38 comments Also! I didn't know karsa hadmalazn divided anything! I how can you not love that ugly, rapist, pelt wearing barbarian!? He the most adorable rapist ever!

The Crimson Fucker (tcf123) | 38 comments Actually! I think he the only adorable rapist, mass murderer that I can think of!

seak | 129 comments I LOVE quoting Malazan when no one knows what I'm talking about. I call it "culling the nobility" when I go on a big book purge...or really any purge of anything.

Lori That thread is hysterical, I love the way you mentioned the Warrens!!! I'm going to start incorporating "I opened my Warrens" into normal conversation.

John | 1 comments Awesome thread!

I always say "lad" "lass" and "aye" all the time now, I can't help it haha

Lori Ha in the beginning of Memory of Light there is a sentence that uses prod and push! I'd never heard this phrase before Malazan, have any of you? I'd start using it in conversation but then I couldn't help but flash on David's sexual analogy.

I still use 'Feners Hairy Balls!' I find it quite descriptive.

I also talk like Iskarel Pust sometimes, it is a great way to get some space at parties.

Talking like Iskaral Pust in public is a good way to get yourself sectioned...
