Stefani's Challenge - 75 books in 2013

My goal is to read 75 books this year. I set a goal of 50 last year but read 100, would love to read that much this year but it is the year of the dreaded dissertation so I have to be more conservative in my estimate! Also all of my finish dates are done in the UK way of date/month/year because the American way hurts my brain.

Lord of the Flies only 2 stars... I'm making myself read it this year. It's the very first to-read book that I have on my Goodreads shelf. Anything in particular you didn't like?

It just didn't live up to the hype for me. There were parts of it I liked but most of it was just boring to me and full of thoroughly unlikable characters. It probably didn't help that I also read Beauty Queens just before it which is a much better stranded on an island book.
