Hello! This month's winner for the January Adult Book monthly read is Invisible Indians: Native Americans in Pennsylvania by David J. Minderhout. Feel free to discuss about what you loved or hated about this book!

Eden (tsalagi_writer) | 56 comments This is a very good book.

The state of Pennsylvania refuses to acknowledge that there are even any Indians living in Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania has no reservations, or any recognized tribes. Sadly, even some other Natives think all the Indians in PA are just white people playing Indian. But this book shows there is a Native population in Pennsylvania, whether people believe it or not. The book is really informative and it is a book I highly recommend.

This sounds great Eden! It's sad that some states tried to say that Indians didn't exist in their states and it's not fair to the Native American community.
