Monica (monicajbaker) Hi, I'm new to this group, so forgive me if this has been talked about elsewhere.

Does anyone ever use the Kindle or Nook Lending Libraries? From my experience, the selection is pretty sparse, but I wondered what other people thought? Are there ways to borrow ebooks, besides from those two or from a local library? Has anyone ever used another service to borrow eBooks?

Randy Harmelink | 729 comments I've borrowed Kindle books from my local library, and as an Amazon Prime member.

Doing it from the local library is very easy. It interfaces with Amazon nicely. And you can put things on hold and get email notices when they are available.

The Amazon Prime loans are a little more difficult, because they have to be initiated from the Kindle device. And they are only one per month.

I can use the "Manage Your Kindle" web page to list all of the loans, of either type.
