In the 80's I "adopted" a humpback, and the flukes were the way (the only way, really) a person's particular whale could be identified. (Mine was Onyx, because her flukes were black.) This was fascinating ... but ... er ... plot?

There's not a whole lot of plot in this tome. I think it qualifies as non-fiction.
