First moon den

When you are a human who survives a werewolf attack this is where they take you for your first moon.

"No I will I am a familiar face and right now she needs medical help look at how deep her wounds are." Rose gently turned Cayla's arm over and showed the wound to Bryn, they reached the first moon den and gently chained her to the wall, Rose put padding around her wrists she she would try to kill herself during the change.

Bryn gently put Cayla's ankles into the ankle chains with padding around them. 'I understand, however, what if you are called away just before the change or in mid change. I think it would be good if she had another friendly face just in case of that possibility, which I know is very high. So, can I stay during her change to?' Bryn asked.

"Sure I forgot. Cayla wake up." Rose gently shook Cayla's shoulder to wake her up.

'Thats alright.' Bryn went out for a bit to bring in some bowls of water and some meat for later and sat down on the dusty ground in front of Cayla, waiting for her to awake.

Cayla's eyes fluttered open, she looked around trying to get her bearings, but couldn't. Although when she saw Rose's face, she calmed down a notch.

"Cayla can you hear and understand me?" Rose asked gently, she could see Bryn twitch just slightly when Cayla moved. Rose needed to introduce Bryn soon in case she was pulled away to help another cub or a patrol guard or something like that.

"Yeah , just. My ears are buzzing," she winced as she tried to concentrate on her voice. "It is like a high pitched sound in my ears, but I can hear you."

"Your changing your ears are picking up more than they use to hearing so it translates it to a high pitched noise. Oh and by the way this is Bryn she will be here with me when you do change for the first time." Rose sat down next to Cayla and brushed some of her hair out of her face. Rose looked and pointed to Bryn when she introduced her and waited for Bryn or Cayla to say something.

"Ok that makes sense." She winced, she looked over at Bryn, "Hello, and thanks."

"Now how do you feel if your arms hurt i can get you some herbs they may taste like dirt?" Rose asked in a soft tone to help stop the pain in Cayla's ears

Cayla did as she was told, but her arm felt stiff and sore, "Just stiff and sore" she groaned

"I will get the All spice and some rosemary. the rosemary helps the blood flow making the change easier on new turners." Rose got up and walked over to a small cabnet which she had put in so those who were helping the changers could find the herbs easily.

Cayla watched as Rose walked over to the cupboard.

"Lucky last few seeds now i have some fresh rosemary it is a bit more afective and a bit tastyer but they come as leaves i do not grind fresh rosemary without good cause." Rose went over to cayla with the rosemary and the allspice, she handed her the AllSpice first and then the rosemary. "Also no berries for 24 hours they undo the AllSpices work."

"Good girl, Bryn can you watch Cayla whilst i go get some more Allspice and no you can not get it i have to crack the pods and stuff i am giving you the nice job." Rose walked to the door and waited for a responce from Bryn.

'Hey' Bryn said kindly to Cayla, trying not to scare her. 'The chains aren't hurting you, are they? So, my name is Bryn. Your Cayla right? Tell me Cayla, where are you from?' Bryn asked curiously. 'Trust me,' she added in response to Cayla's confused look, 'talking makes it easier, until, well, we'll be here.'

'Ok ok!' Bryn sighed laughing with Rose. 'Got ya!’

"No they are fine." She pause and listened as best she could, "yeah I am, I don't clearly remember where I am from originally, I have been trying to find my parents for ages." She frowned at this.

'Oh. That's a shame. I'm am sure you will find them some day, but after today, we will be your family. Trust me, the pack is better than family and even closer. So, what age are you? What colour do you think you will be when you change?' Bryn asked eagerly.

'Oh, I'm sorry. But you have us now. You don't need them. Trust me! I haven't seen my biological parents since I was 8 and I have never once felt the need for them! And yes, I think so too. You will look beautiful!' Bryn said happily, laughing, glad she had made a new friend. Suddenly however, Cayla arched her back and stifled a scream. 'Cayla!' Bryn said worriedly. It was happening. 'Cayla listen to me. Your going to be fine. Just focus ok. Focus on my voice, on the future. Hold on!'

"Cayla look you are changing." Rose walked in and put the seeds away.

Cayla felt pain erupt all over her body. Bone cracking and reshaping, it felt like hell itself.

'Rose!' Bryn sighed with relief as her alpha walked in. 'What can I do? Should I get anything? What should I do?' Bryn asked worriedly, starting to freak out. She had only ever been through one transformation and that was her own so she didn't know what to do. Bryn's voice started to take a rough wolf edge and her eyes changed due to the fear, she needed to keep it under control.

Rose ran to the cupboard and pulled out the ground tumric for Cayla to inhale it was a stronger painkiller than AllSpice. she shook some out onto her hand and went of to Cayla and held her hand under Cayla's nose. "Cayla it's alright you will be fine!" Rose shouted as during the first shift you slowly lose your hearing. "Bryn water we need to cool her down she has a fever due to the blood lost.

She started to whimper, and let the tears fall down her face. Then her ankle cracked and she screamed again. She started to feel the fur on her body.

"Cayla can you hear me." As medic Rose had seen many first shifts only three have sliped through her fingers and they were better off than Cayla, Rose took the water from Bryn and pulled out a cloth to wipe the water on cayla to cool her skin and fur.

It felt like pure hell at the moment, but she was strong, she was going to get thought this. Her nose started to grow as well as her nails

"Bryn stand back she is almost a wolf and she will attack thus the shackles." Rose started to move away but it was to late cayla's jaw had clamed down on Rose's left arm, rose jerked in pain releasing her arm but leaving long deep wounds. she screamed as the pain washed over her she took her thread from her pocket and tied it around her arm to slow the blood loss.

Her mind took on a feral side and her body thrashed around.

Rose could feel the full moon's peak come and go soon Cayla started to relax and return to human form. Rose helped Cayla, as her wounds started to bleed and weep. "Cayla can you hear me now." She spoke plainly and and in pain.

Bryn stood frozen. So much was happening so fast. Poor Cayla! She was in agony. Bryn tried to make soothing sounds to calm her but it didn't seem to help. But then, when Rose got hurt her instincts took over. Protect the alpha! Her instincts were screaming. Bryn bounded forward took Rose's other arm and pulled her back from Cayla. Bryn sat her down and started to clean the wound and wrap it in a fresh bandage. Then Bryn gave her some pain killers and then turned to Cayla. Refusing to leave her alpha's side she had to raise her voice so Cayla could hear her. 'Cayla! Cayla! Are you ok? Just relax. Everything is going to be fine. Don't fight it. Just relax. Hear my voice. Come back'.

Cayla could hear faint voices, but the strangest voice was in her head, Hello, I'm Sky. it said, you might want to wake up and tell them you are ok. They are starting to get on my nerves she obeyed the voice and opened her eyes. "I am fine." She tried to say confidently but came out as a whisper.

"Bryn I'm fine I have lost count how many times I have been bitten by new turners." Ross stood up and walked over to Cayla and undid her shackles. "Cayla I suggest you and I take a pleasant stroll to the infirmary. Have you ever seen healers freak out about the Alpha or the medic. Well times that by 2 and you have got how funny it is for me." She giggled it was three months ago since the last first mooner and she was starched on the leg.
