Melanie♥ (meliaann) | 47 comments Is it appropriate to include a lengthy excerpt in a book description?
It appears from the log that both the description and excerpt were added by the author.
I was asked to edit it out, but was not sure about the policy.
Thanks!

By whom, if the author is the one who added it?

Also, "lengthy" can mean many things. How many words, approximately?

Melanie♥ (meliaann) | 47 comments One of the ladies in my group didn't think it belonged in the book description and asked me to edit it out. I've seen short excerpts, but this did seem a bit lengthy.

It is about 1000 words long.

That does seem a tad excessive. That's the equivalent of about 4 pages in a paperback.
