Kristy | 58 comments Ok! Last year fell a little flat with moving and setting up the new place, had no time to read :(
So, this year is going to be a little slower and I'll be taking my first "stay-cation" in 7 years this March! YEY! I'll be sitting and reading! So this is the plan for this year:

Kristy | 58 comments January- New Beginnings Challenge:

1. Read a book by an author new to you:
Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury

2. Read a book that was released in the last six months:
Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan

3. Read a book in a genre that is outside of what you normally read:
Mystery-
Murder on the Orient Express (Hercule Poirot, #10) by Agatha Christie

4. Read a book where the main character starts out on a new part of his or her life:
The Fellowship of the Ring (The Lord of the Rings, #1) by J.R.R. Tolkien

5. Read a book that was published the same year you embarked on a new part of your life (state what part that was): Moved out and started living on my own (2012)-
Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

6. Should auld acquaintance be forgot: Read an old childhood favorite:
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory & Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator by Roald Dahl

7. Read a book nominated for the Goodreads Choice Awards:
The Long Earth by Terry Pratchett

8. “Beginnings” is a song by the group Chicago—read a book whose title shares a main word with the lyrics of the song:
Beginning-
The Bad Beginning (A Series of Unfortunate Events, #1) by Lemony Snicket

9. Read a book that is first in a series:
The Eye of the World (Wheel of Time, #1) by Robert Jordan

10. Read a book by an author whose first or last name starts with the letter A:
I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou

And because 2 doorstoppers and 8 relatively good sized books wasn't enough of a challenge, I picked up a twin read. We're tackling:
Les Misérables by Victor Hugo
