Titles that say "(CANCELLED)"

These two struck me as odd. If isbn valid and book was ever published, I don't think it should say cancelled (I wasn't aware goodreads made any distinction between in or out of print books).

If were never published because got cancelled...shouldn't they get deleted?

There are two ways to deal with cancelled titles with ISBNs. If it has been shelved many times we usually leave it, with a note in the description or something similar. Other times we'll just NAB it so the unusable ISBN doesn't get re-imported.

And sometimes books that say cancelled in the title really were published. It's worth looking on WorldCat, for instance.
