Gulp! I joined the group last year but was a bit intimidated by the challenges. But, this year, I decided I was going to go for it! I'm glad to see the new option for Tourist. I can hopefully handle 24 books!!

The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry is a truly outstanding book. Read it last summer and just assigned it to our book club as summer reading for our next meeting in September. Enjoy!

I noticed that on your travels this year you went to Japan and read "The Housekeeper and the Professor," just a beautiful book about friendship and the math was so much fun, even for non-math readers. If I may be so bold, we just spent a year reading books set in foreign locations for our book club. If you would like, I would be more than happy to share that list of books with you. Let me know!

Had a wonderful time with these books. I lead a group of 22 women and so I spend a lot of time trying to find books that the ladies of the club will like. I hope you find some interesting and may want to read some as part of your yearly reading.
Thanks Blaine, this is awesome! I've read and thoroughly enjoyed Gonzalez and Daughter Trucking Company, and I've had The Language of Baklava on my TBR list for quite some time.I'll have to check these out!
We seem to enjoy many of the same books. My club ladies liked the books on Sarajevo, Malaysia, Vietnam and Saudi Arabia. The recipes in The Language of Baklava are just great!

Very cool! I gave the book 3.5 stars. It was just a bit difficult keeping up with all the different characters. But, from the author's note in the back, most of the characters were real.
