❄️ Propertea Of Frostea ❄️ Bitter SnoBerry ❄ (berrynumey) | 849 comments Are poems like Ozymandias and La Belle Dame Sans Merci, considered as books? They have just one page each, but poems longer like The Rime of the Ancient Mariner have more pages. Should the former be deleted?

Amy (amy_bookworm) | 76 comments The book they are part of is the book itself, classing a poem not published on its own as a book is... well, it would need to be deleted if this was the case.

❄️ Propertea Of Frostea ❄️ Bitter SnoBerry ❄ (berrynumey) | 849 comments Yeah. They were originally published in volumes by the poets.
It is kinda weird finding a book with just one page...

*And can someone please delete them?

Debbie's Spurts (D.A.) Should they be treated like short stories and note what book(s) they were published in?

Cait (tigercait) | 5005 comments Just use caution -- single poems could be published to stand alone, say in a "kindle single" or an illustrated edition or a mini-audiobook....

❄️ Propertea Of Frostea ❄️ Bitter SnoBerry ❄ (berrynumey) | 849 comments But those are really old poems.

Amy (amy_bookworm) | 76 comments You can't delete them because of it being 1 page. There are short stories not a lot longer. Already stated how we treat them.
I think a super-librarian will need to sort this.
Thanks (:

The ISBN of the Ozymandias edition is for a 36 page paperback edition. The number of pages is probably just wrong.

The La Belle Dame Sans Merci has no data at all so is most likely, in my opinion, one of those placeholder-type entries that people add when the have read something but aren't bothered about the edition.

willaful The first link has an ISBN and a publisher at Amazon, which lists it as 36 pages long. It sounds reasonably legitimate.

ETA: just checked Worldcat and they have it: http://www.worldcat.org/search?qt=wor...

The second link has no information listed at all, which makes it pretty dubious.

But Ozymandias is just a Sonnet! just fourteen lines...

Fourteen VERY famous lines. And it is a proper book (with 36 pages).

willaful Worldcat has it listed as for juveniles, which suggests it has illustrations.

There was also a film adaptation made in the same year it was published. Perhaps this is a picture book version of the film.

It is. I found a cover. Yuk.

❄️ Propertea Of Frostea ❄️ Bitter SnoBerry ❄ (berrynumey) | 849 comments o.O Purple, but still...so not complementing the lines of the poem -_-

message 15: by willaful (new)

willaful I don't think that purple cover is the correct one for this edition.

message 16: by willaful (new)

willaful I removed the cover -- it's a different publisher.

Banjomike | 5530 comments OK. New, corrected cover added. Cover by Theo Gayer-Anderson.

Excellent art.
