Orchestra. I'm in a band myself but I love string instruments and wish we had some.

no offense to you orchestra lovers, but i think all the orchestra instruments all sound the same. band has different instruments with different kinds of sounds. my friend jack(who plays trumpet) actually said that, I'm just agreeing with him...
Yeah but orchestra has all the same instruments in the band, plus string instruments. Basically if you add strings to a band, they're an orchestra. Same basic stuff.
in my school orchestra is string instruments and band is brass woodwinds and percussion

Let me rephrase that... Band forever!!
I can't really choose between the two. I love bands, because there are a lot of great bands out there, both from the past and from today. Orchestras are also cool because a lot of them do a wonderful job on creating a lot of the instrumental tracks for movies. I think it's really cool how The Lord of the Rings movie soundtracks used their own orchestra and choir.
I hear you I play cello and our class who the best have only been playing for 3 years im a second year but we can play like hard music normal middle schoolers wouldnt be playing. Our class is amazing!
Wow! This is a hard one to answer. Both are pretty cool for their own unique reasons. =) I play in a band, but I also hope to someday play in an orchestra in addition to my band if I can still do both. They're both so cool!
Band, all the way! I am first chair trumpet in my school band, and band is really the best thing in the world for me!

most orchestra instruments sound the same but in different octaves, we have different everything, we have alto, bass french violin, treble, soprano, Mezzo-soprano, baritone, bass, and subbass!and we have the g4 f3 and c4
orchestra has french violin bass and treble...
