Marie jogged down a path sporting blue athletic shorts and an old volleyball tshirt. The look on Alice's face was stuck in her head. Why was Alice like that? Marie didn't do anything wrong! It wasn't her fault that her real family was messed up! Marie ran faster, her arms pumping. Yeah now she'd be able to go to college and get a car and have an adult that gave a rat's a** about what she was doing. But Alice was going to make everything a whole lot harder. Ellie had no problem with it, but then again, she's only 7. Alice, though had given her the worst look ever. Did she not realize what Marie had to give up by coming here? Her job. Her friends. Her boyfriend. Her MOTHER! Marie ran faster, her foot falls in time with the music coming from her iPod nano.
