(I realise there’s a thread for editing quotes already up, but I didn’t want to overwhelm it with lengthy posts about one series..)
I’m pleased to say that almost all Harry Potter quotes have been patiently verified, formatted and sourced to their respective books and in most cases, the specific chapter. Why did I do this? 1) Its irksome to see lines from the movie-franchise constantly being credited to the books. 2) I’m a stickler for accuracy 3) Vague optimism that this will someday be useful (meta-data?!) 4) Affectionate/nostalgic appreciation of Rowling’s writing 5) Because I can.
I’m hoping a super-librarian can aid me in my quest to correct/source/merge the quotes with +500 likes and review/get rid of the ones that are clearly movie quotes. There are quite a few so I will post quotes-to-correct-and-source in one batch and movie-quotes in another.
I'll be extremely grateful to whoever helps out, I know it's a time-consuming request.

Working on the the quotes from message 2.

All the deletes are done apart from 6 or so which give the famous "page unavailable An unexpected error occurred. We will investigate this problem as soon as possible — please check back soon!" error.
I'll retry them tomorrow.
EDIT: only 2 left

The last two deletes are still refusing to go. I'll link them here and we'll see if anyone can delete them (supers or staff).
