Start a new topic for books on sale?

Sometimes I see ebook deals and free books posted in Discussion, Sci-fi fantasy news, and the What are you reading threads... Is there a preferred place to post these? Maybe it would be a good idea to start a new topic so people don't miss these? What do you think?

I've brought this up in the past, it seemed to gain little traction. I'm for it. Not just eBooks but sales on any format really.

It's not really news. It's not really self promotion. But I do think a lot of people are interested in deals on books they might miss otherwise.

They could add it just above or below the self promotion section and people who aren't interested could easily skip over it.

I actually see these come up, but even a few hours later, its been pushed! Something like this, where I could scroll through the discussion posts to check whats available, would be wonderful!

I don't know if we want to start a list here, but Brandon Sanderson's novella, Legion is still free on Audible...and I saw on S&L discussion board as recently as yesterday that John Scalzi's Old Man's War is still on sale for $2.99. Hopefully whatever list we create can include these two.
