Arctic I wasn't enamored with the first one, but went ahead and saw the second one, which I thought was better than the first but still overhyped. Why I went and saw the third, I'll never know. Worst yet imo.

Charissa (dakinigrl) I enjoyed the first one enough to attempt the second one, which I will regret until the day I go to the grave. What a terrible, terrible film!! No way you could pay me enough money to entice me to waste another two hours of my life on the third one.

Charis Coltart (vampiricaddiction) | 2 comments Quite enjoyed the first one, the second went drastically downhill. The third? No comment

My hubby saw the 3rd one on a flight coming home from Hawaii. He hated it, so he refuses to let me watch it. He says he's shielding me from a horrible movie, lol.

Arctic He is, Frances, he is. I think I'm scarred for life.

I guess it's good that I didn't catch the holiday special, though it couldn't have been much worse and was probably better just by virtue of being shorter.

Joel | 6 comments I was having to do a lot of flying the month that delta was running this on their planes, and I was on older planes that didn't have the individual screens. I got stuck literally watching this movie about 9 times that month and as much as I hated it the first time, I was able to hate it even more on each consecutive viewing.

I dunno if this is true or not..but I heard they're going to make a 4th film...

Ellenjsmellen | 6 comments The original Shrek was the perfect movie. It was fast flowing and kept the kids attention. The second bombed for me. As for the third, I need to watch it again to see if I "could" like it.

Jillian (mother_of_dinosaurs) I really loved the first Shrek. The second was ok....the third was ummm so so. I just think that sometimes one movie is enough. When they keep making sequels to make money off of a success it gets rather tired after a while.

message 12: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) OK. Yes, the first one was a classic and the second wasn't so bad. But the the third wasn't as awful as I was told it was going to be. I didn't hate it.

My expectations were low and I still found myself laughing throughout the entire movie. Favorite parts: 1) Puss in Boots saying goodbye to all his lady friends before they set sail, and the one cat too preoccuied with licking her paw to gaze into his eyes 2) Shrek trying to be hip when talking to the young Arthur, and Arthur pretending he's listening until he's got a chance to make a dash for it yelling "Help! I'm being chased by a monster who's trying to relate!" And there were many other funny bits sprinkled throughout.

I'll still buy it for my collection.

Ashley Ladd (ashleyladd) | 13 comments I loved Shrek (one), and Shrek two was even funnier. I absolutely HATED Shrek three. It was a total waste of money.
