Yeah that works great for me if it works for everyone else. I know a few people have to get it from the library. Also did you buy the books on Amazon? Cuz you can return them within 7 days and if you return I can still give you a copy :)
If I figure out how to plug my Kindle into my computer I will be able to start on the 10th!

Yes! I tried about 10 times probably and it wouldn't work. Then I found a really good website with clear instructions and some pictures so I figured it out!

Hey guys! Since the buddy read starts tomorrow I was curious if you wanted to go ahead and get an idea of how many chapters a day we should aim to read? Since this is my first buddy read here I am not sure how you guys actually do it, but a kind of chapter guideline seems the easiest way to keep is all reading together. If there are other ways you guys do it or prefer I am totally good with that too.
It looks like there are 28 chapters and according to Amazon there are 384 pages. I cant verify that completely cuz its on my kindle.
Anyway however you guys normally do this all is fine with me.
I am so excited I can't wait to start!
Yay Robyn! I can't wait to start this tomorrow!!Buddy reads work pretty much however we want. We can read it together and then check in. We can all just read it and then check in when we're all the way done.
I really like reading together and then pausing and seeing if we have anything to discuss.
it looks like there are about 27 chapters.
I'm pretty open to how fast or slow we take a buddy read.
Chapter 10 takes us to about 100 pages in.
Chapter 17 takes us almost half way at about 190 pages.
Or we could take it slower.... chapter 6 is about 60 pages in.
anyone have a preference as to speed?!

(we will have it done in 4 days if plan sticks) Does anyone have this book in a physical copy and if so could you check how long the chapters are? Thanks!

chapter 7 starts at exactly 70 pages. Yes, I have the book form :P
Do you guys maybe want to do 7 chapters a day? Or is that too much, too little?
I think 6-7 would be okay. I dont think 70 pages is too horribly much so unless someone else had a problem either 6 or 7 is good with me. 7 chapters a day would take us exactly 4 days.

I started the book. I am at the start of chapter 4. Any6one else get it started already? I have to go take my last final for class but I should be able to get to chapter 7 later today.

It's kind of funny! One of my other buddy reads, Crewel, has a blurb on the back of the book from the author of the Birthmarked Trilogy! :D

That is an awesome coincidence! I have actually been meaning to read Crewel. Do you like it?
So far Birthmarked is good. The first chapter was great. Just basing off the first 4 chapters I think a lot of us will like it. We can talk about it more when we all get to Chapter 6-7 of course :)
Also thank you for the luck! This is the final I have been dreading so hopefully it goes okay.

So I just finished Chapter 7. I am ready to start chapter 8. What does everyone think so far? I really didn't want to stop the way chapter 7 ended.
Hmmm, it's definitely different. I thought it started kind of gross (birth). But since then I've just been trying to figure out how the world works/what's going on. It's pretty interesting.
Did you get farther today yet? What do you think?
I havent had a chance to read any farther yet today. I will probably be able to read more this afternoon. Is it just me or does the pacing feel a bit a odd?
And I agree about the way it starts, but then again it kept reading so I guess it wasn't that bad lol.
I agree with you Robyn I feel the pacing is pretty much all over the place.Anyway I started reading today and It's pretty interesting if not a little weird, am I the only one who finds it slightly confusing at times?
Close to being finished now probably read the rest tonight or maybe tomorrow~

I finished it last night. Sorry it took my so long my week got a little crazy. I still feel like the pacing for the story was a little off there were times it didn't really flow for me and was actually a bit choppy and kind of confusing to follow.
I loved the world building though adn thought the overall story was great.
The birth scenes didn't really bother me except for the very last one but that was for different reasons lol.
I am definitely interested to read the rest of the series.
Anyone have a favorite part or favorite character?
Okay I made the post that way the three of us (and anyone else) can decide on when to start this book. I am so excited about this aspect of the group!
Just for anyone that doesn't know this is for the first book in the trilogy.
