Misha (ninthwanderer) Meh. I don't find him attractive. I suppose he's good-looking enough, but there just doesn't seem to be much there, at least in any film of his that I've seen. He lacks presence.

I might have gone for Chris Hemsworth (No. 3 on the list) just for his amazingly beautiful eyelashes. OK, and his abs. Oh my god, his abs. *drifts into dreamlike state* What was I saying?

Really, I think my No. 1 choice right now would be Idris Elba (if we're talking actors). Now he has presence.

Oh! Or Tom Hardy -- so fascinating in everything he does.

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10824 comments I would not turn Channing Tatum away. Nope. No sirree...

message 3: by Misha (new)

Misha (ninthwanderer) I probably wouldn't turn him away, but I'm kind of desperate.

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10824 comments It's not Gilbert Gottfried or CarrotTop desperate, is it?

message 5: by Carol (new)

Carol | 1677 comments ahaha! Misha, pictures please. I don't know eyelash guy or the other one.

message 6: by Misha (new)

Misha (ninthwanderer) Not that desperate, no.

message 8: by Misha (new)

Misha (ninthwanderer) For reference:

Channing Tatum

message 9: by Carol (new)

Carol | 1677 comments thanks, Jammies. But there were no abs in those pictures, so I still can't know for sure. Ben Affleck looks like Adam Sandler, and Channing Tatum looks jowly.

message 10: by Misha (new)

Misha (ninthwanderer) Chris Hemsworth

And his abs

I don't usually go for the brawny type (Wait. Gerard Butler obsession? Yes I do. Nevermind.)

message 11: by Misha (new)

Misha (ninthwanderer) Idris Elba

message 12: by Misha (new)

Misha (ninthwanderer) Tom Hardy

I just realized what my three preferences have in common: Hemsworth is Australian and Elba and Hardy are British. I tend to like foreigners. I'm sure I must have some American crushes, though.

message 13: by Meels (new)

Meels (Amelia) Hemsworth...nice!

message 14: by Heidi (last edited Nov 15, 2012 02:35PM) (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10824 comments OMMFG, Hemsworth. He belongs in my manquarium.

These dudes are just blow-up dolls. Show me something less puffy, I'll reconsider.

message 16: by Meels (new)

Meels (Amelia) Heides, you can't have them ALL! You have to share a little.

Who says?

Meels (Amelia) Me. Didn't you see?

message 19: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10824 comments Amelia wrote: "Me. Didn't you see?"

You can have Matthew McConaughey. He's looking scrawny lately.

Jammies BunWat wrote: "Ugh. Smarmy."

The douche side is strong in this one.

message 21: by Meels (new)

Meels (Amelia) No thanks. I heard Matt has an aversion to deodorant. Peeyew! And, for some reason I expect him to be a total arse in person.

Idris Elba isn't puffy.

message 24: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10824 comments Idris is most definitely not puffy. :)

message 25: by evie (new)

evie (ecie) | 4087 comments If I had to choose... Idris.

What is that, Chris is holding? It's a bit phallic symboly.

message 26: by Scout (new)

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 3112 comments It's ridiculous to think that you can look at a picture of a guy or see him in a movie and know if he's sexy or not. Objectifying men is great payback, though.

message 27: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Hemsworth looks like a merman and Tatum's pit in that pic disturbs me for some reason. Of course, if I had to stand between the two and fondle them to find out their puffy factor I suppose I could muster it.

message 28: by Mark (new)

Mark Burns (TheFailedPhilosopher) | 441 comments Still a Jensen Ackles fan myself. Can not stand looking at Tatum. P.s who is the blonde guy in Sons of Anarchy because it is not Hemsworth.

message 29: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Charlie Hunnam.

Susan | 6406 comments Splitsies...you can have him in his long hair phases, I get him with short locks.

P.s. Manquarium???? I want to go there.
Do they get all prune-y? That would be a shame.
Is the water cold? That, too, would be a shame.

I am just going by looks only, as I obviously haven't met them and don't recognize any but Channing from their celebrity status. Sexy is more than looks, I agree.

message 34: by Meels (last edited Nov 19, 2012 11:55AM) (new)

Meels (Amelia) Since Sarah Girl (Null) has long since left TC, I get:

(I can't post pics anymore. They changed photobucket and I can't make it work and I never have figured out the other way...)

message 35: by Susan (new)

message 36: by Meels (new)

Meels (Amelia) What does that mean?

Only after you meet them. Sexy can totally be about looks until they open their mouths. Then they can become more or less sexy depending on what comes out. But, I totally disagree that I cannot find a man hot based purely on his god given (or possibly doctor altered) physical attributes. I assure you, I can.

message 40: by Misha (new)

Misha (ninthwanderer) I think I can determine whether someone is sexy by watching them in a movie. What an actor brings to a performance tells you a lot about him. Actors aren't just puppets for the screenwriter and director. They make conscious decisions about bringing a character to life or how to carry out a screenwriter or director's vision. I can certainly tell if there's inner life behind the six pack abs.

message 41: by Carol (new)

Deal. Manquarium - LG invented it for me. I don't think there's water in there. I suspect it's more like a terrranium, probably with a fridge and beer to keep them happy when they can't be with me.

message 48: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Fantastic.

That is so much better than what I had first envisioned. 100% Merman Hemsworth's fault.
