Megan Johnston (MeganSJohnston1) | 16 comments I also write paranormal romance in the young adult genre. My first novel is finished after almost 2 years, and I am putting the finishing touches in the editing department. When I'm not writing, I am reading. Always looking for a good book to read and then to share.

Gail Koger (gailkoger) | 57 comments Writing is like breathing. Necessary. Are you doing ebooks or paperback?

Gail

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 21 comments Gail - I couldn't agree with you more.....

I am newish to GR. Actually joined a couple of years ago, but never was active until a couple of months ago. I don't have an ereader - too many print books here at home just begging to be read! And yet, I keep haunting HalfPriceBooks and acquiring more. I'm also active at PaperBackSwap. Love the games there and can always be found in the forums somewhere!

I mostly read PnR and UF. Everything from YA to Erotica. I've been active in the challenges in the SOS group. Noticed one of the folks there had listed a challenge from this group that looked really interesting - so I'm off to join!

Happy reading everyone.

My wife and I are both avid readers and enjoy a plethora of genre's of books, but paranormal seems to be one of both of our favorites. We just started really using goodreads and look forward talking to everyone about what they have read and what they suggest.

Can't wait to get to know everyone.

Megan Johnston (MeganSJohnston1) | 16 comments Gail, I feel the same, writing is like breathing. I do not have a publisher, but will be publishing through either Author House or Outskirts Press. I will publish in both paperback & e-book formats. I believe a lot of Authors are going this route. I look forward to reading your books.

P.A. Lupton (palupton) | 909 comments Hello Everyone,
My name is Penny-Ann and I am so thrilled that I found Good reads. I thought I was the only obsessive reader out there, I read at least 1 novel every 1-2 days. My friends often look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them about a great book I've just read and its about vampires, werewolves, or witches. I often can't find a good book to read, but since I've discovered Good reads I've had so many great suggestions and found books I never would have tried, but ended up loving.
Some of my favorite authors are Anne Rice, Jeaniene Frost, J.R Ward, Lara Adrian, Kerrilyn Sparks, and Tina Folsom.
Aside from reading, I also love to write about the paranormal, and I've just recently released my first paranormal romance novel.
I look forward to chatting

message 814: by Melanie (new)

Melanie (melanie86) | 1 comments Hey everyone,

I am 24 living in the Nashville area. I have moved around a lot but am originally from a small town in Pennsylvania. My mom and sister have always been avid readers, but i could never find anything that really caught my interest. Well that was because they don't read the books I like. When I picked up the Harry Potter series (I was in middle school and they had just started being published) I was hooked.
I had been introduced to a world of fantasy and from their my reading has taken off.
I love to read so my husband got me a nook for mothers day (i have a three yr old son) and hey may be regretting it now since I have been spending way too much money. I love romantic fantasies and can't put them down. All of my friends i have made in the area in the last two years have moved away or are not into reading very much. I need friends and I would prefer them to have this hobby in common :).
I'm so happy that I found good reads so that i may make some friends as well as get some good book recommendations.

message 825: by Selene (new)

Selene Arnaud (goodreadscomselene_arnaud) | 3 comments Good evening everyone; my name, or at least on here, is Selene Arnaud. I've loved all that is paranomal ever since I was about 6 years old. The first time I ever saw a picture of a vampire I thought it was the most terrifying and fascinating thing I'd ever seen. From that moment I was hooked - suckered in - excuse the pun. I love paranormal fiction, particularly that of the sanguinating variety. However; much as I adore my daughter, I am now thoroughly sick to the back teeth of Twilight! Hey ho! The delights of teenage girls. Once I get to know you all a little better; perhaps I shall submit some of my own and see what you all think. I guess I have the slightly darkened and tainted, though thankfully still beating heart of a goth. Chat soon.

message 829: by Donna (new)

Donna | 10 comments Hi everyone, my name is Donna from Australia. I am new to this group, have been a member of Good Reads for a few months but have only just started to come on here to have a look.

I have been an avid reader ever since I can remember. Started off wiht your typical kids books. Enid Blyton, then onto the Sweet Valley HIgh. As I got older I moved on to different authors Danielle Steel, Jackie Collins, John Grisham to name a few.

I stopped reading for a couple of years after getting busy with starting a family, but my younger brother hounded me for ages to read the Twilight series. Took me a bit, but I read them all within a week & found myself addicted to paranormal.

I love the Black Dagger Brotherhood & have read a few other series as well, including Richelle Mead. I am looking forward to finding more good books & to meet other bookworms too.

My books have just been selected for review from vaious Paranormal Romance sites, so I am crossing my fingers and toes for a good review. In the meantime, I would love to reconnect with other lovers of the genre. I used to run a rather large bookclub, but as I got more and more into writing, my available time got shorter and shorter. Love everything and anything on vampires. And the hotter- the better :)

Allison Kraft (allisonkraft) | 9 comments Hi, I'm Allison. I've been addicted to paranormal romance for quite some time now, and sometimes feel like I've read it all! But I know there's more out there, waiting to be found, so I thought I'd some groups here and try to get involved with other fans.

Some of my faves: Karen Marie Moning, Richelle Mead, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Laurell K. Hamilton, Charlaine Harris, J.R. Ward... I could go on, but typing all these names on an iPad that keeps wanting to autocorrect is driving me crazy. :)

(Full disclosure: I'm an author myself, but I read the self-promo rules and promise to abide by them.)

Anyway, nice to meet you all, and I hope to find some great reads here in the future!

Trish McCallan (trishmccallan) | 17 comments Hi Everyone,

My name is Trish McCallan, and yes, I am an author. My debut novel, Forged in Fire (a paranormal romantic suspense) was released middle of last week. I’ve been lurking on Goodreads for a while now, but decided it was time to introduce myself.

I've been an avid romance reader for more years than I'm willing to reveal. *g

I am also JR Ward and Linda Howard's number ONE fan. Seriously, their number one fan (although I would never chop off their feet in order to force them to write faster…yeah, I'm looking into other means of forcing-- never mind)

My first two loves are paranormal and romantic suspense; although I have been known to crack open the cover of a historical a time or two. I am also a pet lover, and the exasperated slave to three golden retrievers and a black lab mix.
That about covers me, I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone!
