Hindi kao masyadong nahilig magbasa nuong kabataan ko gawa ng wala namn kaming masyadong libro. The Little Prince yata ang kauna-unahang librong nabasa ko. Tapos Angels and Demons ni Dan Brown na nagustuhan ko naman talaga. Dun na siguro ako nagsimulang mainlab sa mga libro. Pero hindi ako mahilig magbasa ng mga... pocket books! haha. wala lang. Gusto ko yung mga tagalog, 'yung tipong mga LUalhati Bautista ang may akda. Dekada '70, Desaparacidos, mga ganun. Mga nagpapakita ng tunay na kalagayan sa buhay. 'Yung nakakgising ng dugo. Masaya ring magbasa ng History. Ang nakakainis, bihira makakita ng mga librong may koneksyon sa pagsusuri sa lipunan, kung meron man, ang mahal! Swerte na ko nung makakalkal ako ng 25pesos na libro dun sa recto. Haha. Ayoko ng Twilight! Naiinis ako, lalo na sa movie, subjective kung subjective. Pero inimpose kase sa tao na napakaganda nito, billboard jan, billboard dito, mantakin mong pati sa box ng mentos may print nito. Ang dami tuloy poser sa pila ng sinehan. Pero gusto ko yung The Series of Unfortunate Events, hindi lang cute sa libro, cute din hanggang sa movie. Naadik ako sa pagbili ng Newsweek mag ngayon, mga back issue. Hehe. Mura kase kumpara sa latest. Hehe.
Ito ang goal ko ngayong taon, makapagbasa ng maraming libro at makapag-invest para rito, nahahti kasi sa damit ang allowance ko. Ang hirap kaya ng walang uniform. Haha, ayun lang. :)
PS: alam nyo yung bookay-ukay? Makakbili kayo dun ng murang libro. As in, kung ikukumpara sya sa original price nito. Hehe. The best dun lalo na kung trip mo mga Philosopical books.

nakalimutan ko kase yung pangalan ng specific na lugar, hehe. once pa lang kase ko nakapunta. basta malapit sya sa Krus na Ligas. Familiar ka dun? sa UP Diliman malapit. AYUN! sa teachers village. hehehe.

Welcome sa iyo Karla! Hehehe, I enjoyed reading your introduction, although it took me more than a couple of minutes to read. Reminds me very much of both Violeta and jzhunagev's introductions. Medyo bopols kasi ako in Tagalog.You'll fit well right here, there are a lot of Lualhati Bautista readers here. And hope you'll delve into variety of books eventually. The diversity of this group is very influential.

For me ok lang siya... hindi siya disturbing... the human body/form is the basic expression of any work of art...Artisitc nga ehh...

Actually,na-aliw lang ako sa introduction ni Karla. Sa totoo lang Karla, ako lang ang alam ko na 45-y/o dad na natapos basahin ang Twilight series! Proud pa ako sa daughter ko. Pero nabasa ko ito noong wala pang sine. Ngayon, parang gusto ko nang i-deny na nabasa ko!

It may not be a notable literary piece of work, (and I may have rolled my eyes heavenwards a few times while reading), but let's face it- I finished the series because it held my interest. Ganoon din yung iba! They may deny it, may even condemn it, but the truth of it all is that they read it because they were interested. What's wrong with having candy once in a while, anyways? Being a Twilight reader doesn't make you baduy or lame, we call ourselves "wide readers". ^;^
hello karla! welcome! @aaron, i agree din about your enthusiasm sa the hunger games and catching fire. nagustuhan ko rin siya! for a YA book, it exceeded expectation. i could say that it was definitely better than the mortal instruments trilogy, which until i have read the hunger games, were my favorite. :D

Yeah! THG is the best YA novel by faaar. I also like TMI, it was funny and everything but THG is really the best. The story is the same time simple and complicated.

Don't worry you're not the only one that dont like Twi. And it's not because you're already old that make you don't appreciate it, cause I read it last year and I was 18 then but I didn't like it.
I also like listening while reading. My Muse and 30 Seconds to Mars playlists makes scenes more awesome, especially the battle scenes and stuffs. So you got already your own soundtrack for THG huh?!. Cool. What song was that? Try Muse's Uprising for Catching Fire, the lyrics of that track defines well the concept of the book.
