Sa mga bagong pangalan, maligayang pagsali sa Filipinos group. Dami na natin! Saya. Pero hirap tandaan ang lahat ng pangalan (meron doble-doble na like Ruby, Jessica, etc). I suggest that you try to make your names as unique as possible like Bookrazy, etc. And make yourself stand out by being crazier that us ha ha!
I forgot to ask is there another person named Hannah in this group?
I just found out there are people who have the same name as me in this group except I have my name in English and in Japanese Calligraphy.
Han'na: If you want to check the names of the members, click members and search for the name. There is one Hannah (joined July 2010) and she is not you because she does not have a photo.Hi Sophia!
I loved Dickens too. Haven't tried Poe and neutral with Austen.
I read Poe's work and they scare me..........I am only 13 years old and in 8th grade by the way.
wow it feels good to meet people who love books the way i do and who love authors the way i love them!
HELLO HELLO Pincang Pinay!!! SOPHIA!!!WELCOME WELCOME Kahit di kayo nag THANK YOU.. WELCOME..YOU'RE WELCOME PA DIN! WOOOOH! ENJOY!!!
Hi! I've never been good at introducing myself but I shall give it a try! :DI'm pure Pinoy, though I've been living in Greece with the fam since I was 8 years old. Greece is not at as great as it used to be in the ancient stories.. Plenty of racists here that view Filipinos as a race only fit for housework.. It's really sad. And with the economy crisis hitting this place too, books are my only escape.
(See what I meant by being bad at introductions...)
Hmm.. I should say I'm not fond of Twilight. I start off with that since it's kinda has become like the "the new black" at this century. I see people into two groups I guess, Twilight haters and Twilight lovers. :x
But then again I believe in writing whatever you want and not considering what people will think about it. Because that's where the fun of writing is, right? Exploring your own world and see which pieces you can jolt down on paper (or MS Word? xD). I guess I just hate the influence it has on girls. =/
Hmm.. I think that's about it for now. I'm really excited about this group and hope that we'll all get to know each other better. (:

Hi, everyone! I'm Sam and I'm a Filipina author based in Manila. My debut novel (Before Ever After) will be released in the US on Aug 2 by Crown/Random House. So happy to find this group! :D
Wow Sam. Congratulations! Welcome to this group. Hope to read your book as soon as it's released. :)
Thanks for the warm welcome, guys! Here's the gist of Before Ever After: The novel follows the story of Shelley, a young widow who discovers that her dead husband may in fact be very much alive - which would be wonderful if the bearer of this news wasn't her thirty-two-year old husband's thirty-two-year old grandson. Her search for answers takes readers on an adventure from revolutionary Paris to medieval Prussia to ancient Venice, to a place where she discovers whether love is truly everlasting.
p.s. Boracay is one of the settings in the book :D
