Hi, I'm Claire. I've been using Goodreads for a long time now to check out which books to add to my reading list. It's my first time to join a discussion group. Glad to be here!
Hi! I'm Crizza. Long time goodreads user. I would really appreciate it if you recommend me some good books to read. :)
Hi mga kababayan! The name's Freshy and I'm from Davao City. I'm a civil engineer and avid book reader of all genres as long as it interests me! So happy to find a book club for Filipinos here in GR...I've been using GR for a long time now mainly to look for new books to read. Hoping for some interaction with fellow book junkies here! Nice to meet you all!!! ^_^
Hello Claire, Crizza and Freshy! Welcome to the group! :) You can browse through the discussion threads. You might find something that would interest you.:)
Hello everyone! I'm Luna. I've been using goodreads for a long time now but it's my first time joining a discussion group. Nice to meet you all!

;)
hi everyone! newbie here :) new to the group and to Goodreads as well. Advance Merry Christmas to all! :)
Kathleen, Kat for short (because I'm short too?)! - Will troll around probably (kidding MODs!)
HI all!
HI! Ano bang magandang book ni Haruki Murakami?? Hindi kasi ako makapili sa mga libro niya at parang ang weird ng mga stories niya. Please paki-sagot. And Bakit ko dapat magustuhan si Murakami??
The most realistic non-Murakami-istic book that he made is Norwegian Wood (some would say). As a #laslasreader, this is more realistic than his other works. If you are to embrace his hipster vibe and how he does his works in magical realism, you can try his Sputnik Sweetheart.
I am no fan of Murakami, you can ask Ranee and Phoebe, both avid fans, and also interested in Japanese lit.
Hi Jeng! Haruki Murakami ba? Ano ba ang feel mo gustong mangyari sa'yo after reading the book, mamili ka- yung saksakin puso, yung tipong gusto mong maiyak na lang pero inis ka pa rin dun sa guy character; maiwan kang tulala kasi di mo alam tapos na ang kwento, well akala mo lang; or di mamalayan na sabog ka na, yung tipong asa gitna ka pa lang ng exam pero sasabihin sa iyo, time is up, pass your papers?
I can't say I am familiar with Haruki Murakami I write from a historical perspective. "Lady of the Island" the lady is from Luzon and the history is the 1970's. I am working on a book that would come before this one set in the 1940's and 1950's Luzon. I am looking for background material and stories.
Hello, everyone! Hello, newbies! =) Happy almost-New Year! :)*mod hat on*
Hi everyone!
Just a little announcement. We'll be retiring this thread by December 31, 2014, and we'll be opening a NEW Introductions thread on January 1. Mostly because this thread is already very, very, long and sometimes it gets a little hard to open it. Second reason is for housekeeping purposes. :D You can still post here until tomorrow but by January 1, we'll be closing this thread and putting it in the Archives folder, and then you can post your introductions in the new thread. =) (This will also give a chance for the old members to re-introduce themselves for the sake of the new ones. :D)
See you in 2015! :D
Hi Rhena, I finally got your postcard from the mail. Thank you so much! I also loved the postcard itself, it made me want to read E.B. White. :D
