Jomille, hmm, okay lang naman. However, I'd suggest to make real purchases (online or at book stores) lalo na kung yung writer ay magaling pero underappreciated. It's a way of helping them earn a living so that they could write more.Hi Tania, Shxrxn, and Allan. Welcome and enjoy! :)
Jomille wrote: "pwede ko ba malaman kung ano ang masasabi nyo sa mga nagdadownload lang ng book online for free instead of buying them?"Practicality wise, I download books that I'm not so sure if it's a good read or not. I only buy books that I really love and those that are highly recommended. I know downloading is like stealing from the author but, I don't have a job to support my addiction- reading. The only thing I do to make it up to them is to give good recommendations/reviews about their books. AND, hey, there are free books in Kindle store and Amazon. Sometimes you can find really good books in there even though they're free. :)
Hi my name is bemy. I love reading books and it's so great to read with filipino raders. And also i'm a Filipino..

Athena, welcome to the group! Let's all be friends.

Athena wrote: "Hello po. Ako po si Athena. I love books and here's hoping to meet friends here po."Hi, Athena! :D I like your name :) Haha! I'm still new here, too. Welcome! :)

Hi Tania! :D

Free books online vs. buying books? Hm, I don't have enough money to support my addiction, too. But I actually do both. I download and buy them when I get the money. It all comes from my savings 'cause I'm still a student so I read before I buy. :) I just love hoarding books. I love the beauty of a bookshelf full of books. Oh, and mostly, I search for books on Book Sale and Books for Less. They're much much cheaper there. But, only some of the books.
Jomille wrote: "Kindly enlighten me Miss Rin, what is SMTH? thanks!"Haha! I think it means "something". :D
Rin wrote: "Maxx wrote: "Hi Manu! We're also looking forward to read with you :)Hi Rin! Welcome to the group, although, I'm a newbie here as well."
Oh, then we should stick together. Or smth. Or be friends...."
Yes! We should totally be friends :D
Welcome to TFG, newbies! I hope you can join us in one of our Face-to-Face book discussions and HoHoLs :)

Hi Jomille, may complete set ka ng series of unfortunate events? Is there a site you or anyone here can recommend for download? I prefer reading actual books Pero wala talaga ako mahanap na series nito eh ^___^ would really appreciate your response. thanks in advance :-)
Yeah sayang nga eh ganda pa nmn ng book cover sana. Meron lng ako book 5 got it from book sale when I was still a student hehe. Thanks Jomille
Welcome, newbies! :)PS: Is there a thread here where I can sort of "advertise"? Opening my very own bookstore soon. :)
Ranee wrote: "And hello Jayson! Kabaleyan! Saan ka sa Pangasinan? Ako sa San Carlos! Kaya mo ba paborito si Sionil kasi taga Pangasinan sya? "Hello Ranee!

Hi all, my name is Genova. Hmmm, I love post-rock and classical music. I'm a grade 3 violinist and a drummer-wanna-be. XD I'm into historical fiction, goth/occult, mystery/thriller, paranormal, fantasy/epic fantasy. I'm a sucker for Carlos Ruiz Zafon works and the Holocaust. Nice to meet you all!
hello guys.. i'm knight uhmm. i love epic fantasy and i'm addicted to a song of ice and fire by george rr. martin.. and i'm tired of waiting for his books to come.. well if any of you guys are facing the same dilemma i'm just here to share your grief.. :)
Hi Noelle, best of luck to your bookstore!Hi Knight, I think a lot of you are facing the same dilemma.
Hi GenovaGee. I like mbv and Sigur Ros (and a little Mogwai and Slowdive). I'm a Grade Zero violinist (I gave up after a year).
Welcome!

Hi Angus! I like them too! And I'm so in love with Explosions in the sky. :) Oh, that's sad to hear but why did you give up? (I lack in practice na eh. :( )
Knight wrote: "hello guys.. i'm knight uhmm. i love epic fantasy and i'm addicted to a song of ice and fire by george rr. martin.. and i'm tired of waiting for his books to come.. well if any of you guys are faci..."Hi Knight! Try Brandon Sanderson! :)
Hi GenovaGee, well, nasira kasi yung pegs due to OA na humidity. Eh hindi ko na pinagawa. Student violin siya so I thought bili na lang ako ng bago, hanggang sa nabaon na ito sa ilalim ng to-do list ko, hehe. Also, my teacher left the city, so hayun. I-explore ko muna ang Explosions in the Sky. :)

Anyway, you'll gonna love explosions in the sky lalo na yung " Your hand in mine". :)

I try to be a decent piano player but in vain. I could barely control my left hand.) Anyway, Hi!

I'm into Bach and Vivaldi eh and Tartini too (just a bit).

Glad you like Bach too, another thing we have in common :) ("Air" is very relaxing for the mind). I'm not too acquainted with Vivaldi, and never heard of Tartini. I listen to Tchaikovsky, Liszt, Mozart, and a little bit of Beethoven.

And I like Mozart sometimes. Try Vivaldi's " four seasons" and Tartini's "devil's trill" they're awesome!
Nice, nice. Try his other works too like "Prisoner of Heaven" (it's the book 3 of Cemetery of Forgotten books) and "Marina". :)

But for sure I'll eventually read Prisoner of Heaven in the future.
Four Seasons, lol that's the only Vivaldi I know. I always come across that one/those four whenever I browse around in youtube. Anyway, try Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto (do pick Cliburn's performance!) or Waltz of the flowers (I think you'll be familiar with this one once you reach the 2 minute mark.)

If you guys are looking for a specific book, let me know. :) My bookstore might have a stock on whatever it is you're looking for.
Hi guys, I'm Paulina. I'm fairly new to reading books. Just started this year, and apparently I became addicted. I've always wanted to read books, pero walang time. Now, I'm so glad I finally decided to give it a try. Sobrang saya pala magbasa ng mga novels. Its way better than watching movies, I think. Anyways, I joined this group to meet people with passion for reading. I don't have any genre preferences yet. But I'm very much hooked with George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire, but I also read mostly whatever I see in the National Bookstore. Pag medyo na ooverwhelm na ako kay George R.R. Martin. :) Anyway, nice to meet you all :)
Hi Paulina, yay! We're so happy that you discovered the joy of reading. Late bloomer din ako. It's never too late. ;)
GenovaGee wrote: "Hi Paulina, welcome sa group. Try mo books ni Brandon Sanderson. ;)"hi Genova, thanks :) Sige try ko
Hiiii! I'm Glenda, 18. I've been reading for 3 years and I'm so thankful for E.L. James for making me fall in love with books. I joined goodreads to keep count of the books i've read and look for more books to add to my list! Jennifer Armentrout is my favorite writer at the moment. I have a major dilemma choosing between bdsm and dystopian as my favorite genre. But anyway I can read anything. I can't seem to stop reading kasi. Kaya after finishing a book, I need to have my next pick on the line. Ganun ako ka-addict hahaha. I hope to find more friends here since lahat tayo bookworms; we all have something in common. Hehe nice to meet you guys!!!!
Hello!
Add me! Di ako nangangagat!
Hi! Hope everyone is dry and away from flooded areas (well, hopefully, the flood had subsided your part of the metro) So many newbies! Hope to get to meet you in one of our face to face book discussions/meet ups!
Genovagee, do you listen to music while reading or do you find it difficult to listen and read at the same time?
Paulina, i dropped reading a song of ice and fire's first book. i told myself that I would read it again once the whole series is completed.
Glenda, just curious, ever encountered a dystopian bdsm book?
Jared, can't help but stalk into your profile. Neuro and Cardio, I love those but Surgery the most.
Hello Ranee! Can't help but to stalk you back haha!
I wanted to be a surgery of any of those two. Haha.
Are you a medical doctor now? :)
