[General] Introduce Yourself!
Hi! I have just revived my Goodreads account after four(?!) years of inactivity. I want to make the most of my Goodreads experience so I did a quick search for local groups that I could join in and, quite possibly, engage with. What caught my attention are: 1. The number of members (which ensures that the group is alive) and 2. Your discussion on Raymond Carver (whose story I did a piece on last week, incidentally). As a believer in the primacy of the written word, I wish this group well. - Lester E.
Hi guys! I'm Wency. An Avionics student. Never really been a bookworm when I was high school but it has been pretty much my life since I went to college. I have to thank my best friend for that(He hauled me to buy books on book sale)I read everyday! When walking home. Waiting for my take out. Vacant hours in school. Between classes waiting for the professor.
During weekends, my friends would go to my boarding house just so they can haul me out of the bed to socialize. But that would not stop me from bringing my Kindle to wherever they want to go.
So yeah. That's me. Hi everyone. Hi to VisDaks here! My province is Masbate. :)
Finally!!! I've been on the lookout for a Pinoy book club for quite awhile. :) ngayon kasi bihira na ang mahilig magbasa, grateful na nahanap ko 'to.Btw, my name is Pre and I like to read pretty much everything. From YA, fiction, autobio, as in lahat. :) Looking forward to your book suggestions! Sana makasama rin ako sa susunod na book discussion niyo, hopefully by March. :D

Hey guys! I'm from Butuan but I'm here in Cagayan de Oro pursuing college. It's my third year in the Accountancy program and my course is really tying to hinder me from good books. So I really wish you guys would keep me updated. Thank you! :3
Yeah. I'm Andrea, but it'll really be better if you call me Drae. I took up Literature in college (Guess, I'm a lil bit old compared to the our student friends here.) Anyway, I'm interested in Philippine Literature. The best part is, Nick Joaquin's my first love, and I have not meet a guy that matches his caliber. :-D Hats off to the Bilinguals here. Maayong hapon.

Hello po! I'm new here. I'm Rochelle, freshman student in college. I basically read Teen Fiction(mostly the works of John Green, Wattpad stories (though most of them are just for entertainment and relaxation purposes) and Philippine Fiction (I love F. Sionil José!) I can't read classics no matter how hard I try. But I included in my New Year's resolutions to read one whole classic novel. I hope I can do that. I am an Anglophile though I kind of suck at pronouncing some English words. I am a true-blooded Filipino. And I think it's trivial to say that I love reading but I'll say it anyway. Hello sa inyong lahat! Salamat po.

I just signed up here in Goodreads and I'm happy to find a Filipino community of book lovers. I lament that reading is quickly becoming a non-priority for children nowadays because of technology, and I hope to help change that with the work that I do in educational tech.
I love a lot of book genres, but latch on to fantasy, scifi and horror more than the rest. I have a collection of children's literature, and am a little bit allergic to chick lit.
I celebrate my passion for books by refusing to bring down my book christmas tree. Hope to participate in your meetups soon.
