Biena: That's good to hear. :)Clarisse: I haven't read either books you're reading! ^^ But I hope you finish them, though! I wish I still had a term break so I can lock myself at home and read. :)
Tina wrote: "Louize: but you're still my ninang! :D Hihi."Same meaning in a different context.
And don't worry, I'll be patiently waiting with you.
Louize: haha, thanks!Lilet: Hi! Welcome to the group! :) Are you a book blogger, or an all around blogger? Enjoy your stay here. :)
Hello, my name is Cecille, but I'd rather you call me Ces. I lalalalaove reading books, its sort of an escape to me. And also, I'm so glad we're (notice how I included myself, already? Haha) reading Jane Austen, one of my absolute favorite writers of all time, since I'm very keen on English Lit! I'd like to know where the discussion will be held... being on an ACTUAL book club and ACTUALLY discussing a book is included on my bucket list. Hihihi.
Hi Ces! :) Welcome to the group! I'm so glad you can tick off one of your bucket list items, then? We'll finalize the venue for the Pride and Prejudice discussion soon -- wait for the event invite!
I figured, I haven't introduced myself yet. I'm Biena, 22. I work for a news channel and I love Jane Austen, Meg Cabot and Superman. Hahaha. :D

...an all around blogger...Thanks TINA...xoxo
I'm a GoodReads newbie too, but an old hat at cataloguing my books (on another site, that is). I'd generally read anything, minus the touchy-feely and romance genre. :b
Tina wrote: "Hi Tessa! Welcome to TFG! :) I love Cebu, and I would love to go back for the food. Hee. (Casa Verde and La Marea! <3 )"yup the warm brownie cup is a big hit whenever you need some comfort food. I sometimes crave it when doing an all weekender read with no commercial breaks.hehehe thanks for the warm welcome guys.
Hi! I'm Don. Well, a teen indeed. I love to read and write especially poetry. I am from Binan, Laguna. So, there. xD
Don Antonio Matthew wrote: "Hi! I'm Don. Well, a teen indeed. I love to read and write especially poetry. I am from Binan, Laguna. So, there. xD"Hi Don! Welcome to the group! :) I think there's a poetry thread here somewhere, if it's not archived yet. :D Do you also read poetry books?

Greetings from Manila! My name is Wen-Szu. Short version of how I got here. From Taiwan originally, grew up in the US, moved to Beijing a few years ago to open up Auntie Anne's Pretzels in China, currently in Manila since my wife (who is from here) will be giving birth to our 2nd child in the coming weeks. Cannot understand tagalog though so some of the posting here are foreign to me:(Love to travel, love to write, and love to read.
Hi kathy! :D You know I've always wanted to learn Bisaya, but I think the only way I can learn it is if I actually stay somewhere in Visayas for a long time! :D But hello, welcome! :D Hi Wen-szu! Welcome to the group. :) Congratulations to your second child! :) The Tagalog just comes to everyone now and then, so if ever you get confused, just let us know and we'll translate for you. :) Welcome to the group!

Hi, I'm Drei. Newbie here! :) Sana po maging mabait po kayo sa akin, mabait naman po ako. Pero makulit :) hello ulit! :)
hi to all newbies! hope to see you more active in the other threads!Wen-Szu, i love Auntie Anne's pretzels! the thought of it makes me crave for it.
Welcome newbies! Feel free to explore the threads and do join us in our monthly book discussions. We would love to hear your thoughts on the monthly reads. And most of all, have fun here! :)
Hi! I'm not exactly a newbie here but I've been inactive for quite some time. So might as well introduce myself again. :) I'm Vim, an eclectic and voracious reader. I read a lot of YA, Romance, Chic lit, Graphic Novels, and Pride and Prejudice sequels. I'm also addicted to fan fictions.
Aside from my love of books, I'm also fond of cats. I hope to meet more cat and book lovers here in TFG. :)
Happy Reading!
Just dropping by to say hello and welcome to the newbies! Vim, hope to see you in the P&P f2f. I know you love that book! :)
Hallo! I'm new to the group but not so much in GoodReads. I'm starting to collect actual books again because most of my books were lost in Ondoy (I know ang tagal maka-get-over), most of what I read recently are ebooks and I miss the smell and feel of actual books.I recently bought the LOTR box set to commemorate my book collection, sort of. And because I am yet to read The Hobbit and The Return of the King.
What I like to read: children's book, YA, chick-lit, fantasy, paranormal, mysteries, *cough*fanfiction*cough*. Non-fiction not so much.
I'm trying to complete all of Dr. Seuss books for my toddler, it's kind of expensive kaya panay second hand books lang binibili namin. If you do find some in a store, please let me know where, I'd appreciate it.
Hi! Wow, I'm so glad there's actually a Book club like this in Goodreads. I collect and read books mostly NYT Bestsellers, classics, Chic Lit, Historical Context Based Novels, Graphic Novels, Manga and I love writing as well. I enjoy collecting books and the smell of its pages. It caught my attention, that you're going to discuss The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova.. I Haven't finished reading it though.
I'm a bit overwhelmed by how you people got to organize this kind of club. Glad to join here.. Hope to hear a lot from this club!
xoxo
Debby
Hello newbies! :DDrei: Mabait din naman kami. And makulit. Haha. Hope you get to join us in our upcoming activities!
Vim: Welcome back! :D Sama ka sa P&P discussion? :)
Biena: Hello! :)
Gene: Oh, I lost some books during Ondoy, too. I threw them away because I get stressed thinking of all the things I had to save then. :( On the up side, I have recovered most of them, so it's all good. We have a lot of members who read the same genre as you do, so just join the discussions! :) Oh, and I love Dr. Seuss too. :D
Debby: Hi! Welcome to the group! Yes, we're discussing The Historian next month -- I hope you can join us for our face to face discussion? :)
Hello to all newbies and oldies! LOLDr. Seuss fan here!
Do join us in the book discussions and meet-ups. :)
Biena, Debby and Gene: Hi!!!Alona: Thanks!
Cary: I know! That book motivated me to try being more active here. :)
Tina: There's a strong possibility. :) I'll finalize my schedule by Monday. :)
Thank you for the warm welcome guys! I've missed your friendliness and hospitality.
Debby: Hi! Welcome to the group! Yes, we're discussing The Historian next month -- I hope you can join us for our face to face discussion? :) Thank you for the warm welcome.. I hope my work permits me for the discussion but i really love too. do you have an online discussion as well?
Hello Vim, Alona and Tina.. :)
Finally! I've been looking for an online or offline book club.^^*Glad to be here...It's a bonus kasi ang first book club ko is a Filipino Group. Unfortunately, I can't join the F2F discussion, but I could read the books if it's possible for me to acquire it. ^^*
Hope to meet lots of new friends here...^^*
hi I'm new to the group :-) has anyone read that boy and that wedding? I'm looking for similar books :-) I'm going to read The last blue envelope by Maureen Johnson.
Tina: I am so heartbroken that time, I only recovered 4 books and that was because it's brand new and still covered in plastic but the smell was so bad I have to throw it away :/Louize, Vim, Bennard: Thanks for the warm welcome!
Hi Jenyve! Hi Candy!
I think P&P needs my attention again. It's been years since I last read it. But I'm more excited to read The Historian.
Erm, hello. I'm Lyn, and I'm really glad I found this group, albeit late. I love reading obviously, and my taste borders on eccentric at times. I do love the classics though, especially Austen's! I love P&P a lot, it's my next plan to read and record for Librivox once I finish Peter Pan.. @Candy: I love Maureen Johnson's The Last Blue Envelope. It's a really cool book, I'm sure you'll like it. :)
Hello Candy, Lyn & Gene! Welcome to the group!I hope you guys can join us in our P&P F2F discussion. :)
Debby: Yes, we'll put the online discussion thread up after the P&P discussion is over. Monique will moderate the discussion. :)Vim: Hope to see you on Saturday! :)
Jenyve: Hello! Welcome to the group. :) Yay, just join us in reading. You can also look for buddy reads for books that you've been wanting to read for a while now but never had the motivation to. :D Reading with others is always fun. :)
Candy: Hi! I've only read Suite Scarlett by Maureen Johnson via audiobook. ^^ Welcome to the group.
Gene: Ack, yes, it is heartbreaking. It's a good thing we already had our house renovated a year after Ondoy, so my books are safe. I still get freaked out by some rains, though! BTW, how did you guys do during the habagat?
Lyn: Hi! :) Welcome to the group. :) Librivox -- I just checked the site, and you said you read and record...so you make audiobooks? (Is "make" even the right term?) :D Wow, that's cool. What have you read there, besides Peter Pan?
Maria wrote: "Andaming newbies! Welcome :)Hey Vim! last i saw you, nung MIBF pa yata last year? LOL"
Hi Maria! yeah, tagal na noh? masyado ako naging inactive this year pero I'm still reading lots of books hindi lang maka pag socialize ng maayos. LOL

Hi Lyn Liza! I'd like to make a special mention to you because my full first name is just the reverse of your name! Yaay! :)
