[General] Introduce Yourself!
Kristel wrote: "@Charles: Anong ibig sabihin ng Catholic dyan, yung religious definition or "universal?"Yung universal. Purist ka :P
@jzhunagev: I bought Improbable from Amazon (the moment it came out-- tapos hindi ko naman nabasa, hahaha fail self). Kristel, nasa Europe ako ng May 11 to 27!
P.S., Peste, why does Goodreads keep on following the threads I am in.
Rachel wrote: "@Kristel, nasa Europe ako ng May 11 to 27! :c Pero pupunta ako sa Sherlock museum scream!!"*dying of envy* x_x
Rachel wrote: "@jzhunagev: Dadalhan kita ng pasalubong! hahaha."Isa lang naman gusto ko from their online store: the wool deerstalker hat. Pero suntok sa buwan yan as it costs £29.
Haha! :D [Ang kapal ng mukha ko!]
Rachel wrote: "Bookmarks talaga ang balak kong bilhin, hahahahaha."Ay, ano ba yan. First time pa lang natin mag-usap sa thread masyado na kong chummy / feeling-close.
I'm sorry, Rachel.
Rachel wrote: "Lmao it's all right! Basta Sherlock Holmes, madali akong kausapin!"Hahaha, si Rachel ang klase ng taong bumibili ng multiple editions of the same Sherlock Holmes book. Because she's a serial killer in the making.
Kristel wrote: "Hahaha, si Rachel ang klase ng taong bumibili ng multiple editions of the same Sherlock Holmes book."I'm on my way there, too. Actually, I ordered the Wordsworth omnibus edition with the Strand illustrations by Sherlock Holmes's great iconographer, Sidney Paget. :)
Yes, since I read A Study in Scarlet I confess I'm that addicted.
I wonder when will be the day I'll get my hands on the two-volume set annotated by Baring-Gould. Hmm...
@NYKen: I agree! I haven't been up to date with DC since the reboot, though, so I'm not sure what's been up with Bats since he appeared again.
hi rachel~see! see! see! Jzhunagev and you have the same interests. anyways, just dropping by to say wish you the best of luck when travelling UK. Don't forget to drop on 21 Baker Street and the 10 Downing Street when you're in London. It is near Bakerloo line from London tubes (the one with brown line in a map. I've been to that place and it was AWESOME! And for a fan of Arthur Conan Doyle, it is a must visit. :D
When you have other chances to roam around, drop by the Oxfordshire - the University / Town Centre and its majestic Blenheim palace! yey! :D
@Maria Ella: Oo nga e, haha I had a lot of fun. XDI am definitely going to Baker Street! Not sure about 10 Downing yet, but I am also going to Portsmouth to see the HMS Victory. If I find time, I definitely will, thank you!
Hi I'm Adrianne from manila. I recently joined good reads and i'm loving it so far. I got to meet a lot of book lovers and i appreciate other people's reviews on the books i'm reading. I like YA,mystery, paranormal, philosophy related ones, motivational books and other books that are seemingly distinct :)
Hello Adrianne! Welcome to the group. This month is YA month, so we hope you could join the online and offline book discussions. :D
kunyari newbie rin si Charles, hello po. welcome! enjoy the online discussions and the buddy reads. we also have the face-to-face discussion coming on may 19th. punta po kayo! YEY! :D
Hi Chelo, welcome to the group! We also finished reading Jane Eyre a few weeks back and had a wonderful discussion about it. :)
Sooo...there. haha. Also, hello newbies! :)
Angus wrote: "Hindi, baka may nag-approve ng membership request (Jzhun, Tina, you?). Nag-approve rin ako ng ilang newbies last week. Yung mga may face pictures lang yung inapprove ko, haha."Buti na lang member na ako, kundi, mukhang hindi ako papasa sa screening nyo hehehehe.
H and LS: Mahirap na! Stressful kasi yung mga nangyari last week. Yung isa kaya diyan?? :DWala naman talagang screening process, we just trust each other's guts. :D
Angus: Hindi..before the Palahniuk book, alam ko tunay na picture yung profile nya. Anyway....it's pointless to discuss now hehehe.
Hi! I'm Oliaqerthzzxh! I'm Marian's evil twin sister and I love writing dirty books. I am the talented one and not that old bitch. I have tuberculosis and I plan to spread my disease on your next meet-up..bwahahahaha! Anyway, you can start worshiping me as an author, check me out here: http://i-have-an-attention-affection-...Oh, btw. I sing. People compare me with Celine Dion. I made my own version of Barney's I Love You song. It's also patched on my site. So while you're having a grand time reading my stupendous sonnets/poems, that I Love You song will be played at the background.

One of Neil Gaiman's best short stories. It's the first story in his Fragile Things compendium.
Echoing Kristel's shoutout as well. :)
