[General] Introduce Yourself!
Joyce wrote: "Hi! everyone! I'm sorry that I haven't been on the group at all for a long time, but my husband and I have both had pneumonia for over a month. I just couldn't write anything that didn't sound re..."Hello Joyce, I'm glad that you feel better now. Of course I remember you.
I had the opportunity to interview the surviving veterans of the death march a decade ago. their tale broke my heart...they told me how people would just drop dead during the march...or how they were asked to bury the dead day after day once they reached the camp. What's also heartbreaking is that some of them refused to speak of the horror that they had to face and is probably still facing right now. Suffice to say, I've never been so thankful that I was born way later.

Hi everyone! Math po! Mahilig din po sa libro. Bago lang rin po dito. (sees the Group Rules------->). At di rin po ako mang-iispam o mangfo-flood. Salamat po.
^Heloo math~ welcome to our groups. At least ako ang unang bumati sa iyo. enjoy the group and all its discussions. :)
Hi Math, my name is P.E. Kidding. Intriguing name. Welcome to the group. :)Ella: Adik ka lang talaga. :D Joke.
Hi Maria Ella! Haha. Record holder! Thanks.Dahil sa work? Call center agent o nurse na nagna-night shift?Hi Rollie! Thanks. Intriguing ba?
Bangkerang bampira in short. :P
Maria Ella Thanks sa friend request! Yes. May 2 na kong friends. Pwede nakong magpapansit. hehehe. Ah. banker ka pala. Kulang pala yung options ko. Tsk.. Natawa ko sa Bangkerang Banker. Pwede nang palayaw yung BB o kaya B squared. Do i like Geometry? Well, here's the thing. When I was in high school, I did not really like it. I only got to enjoy it college.
Maria Ella: *enjoy it in college.. na OC akong magcorrect.
I changed my name before to "Double R" and they didn't like it because it sounds like an FM Station daw. So apparently, I'm now using again my real name here. And because you earned friends here, I'm expecting that pancit. :)
Rollie: Oo nga. Iniisip ko kung anong radio station yun. Meron nga. But I think they already changed their tagline and that's what they're using now as their name (plus the same frequency). So i guess you can reclaim that name!Yung pansit? Pwede bang Pancit Canton na lang muna? :)
God forsaken talaga ang adjective? Hahaha. Well, genres? It's only recently that I got reacquainted with reading and it started when I finished the Percy Jackson series (pang teenager talaga eh no?) and several books from James Patterson. So mostly thriller and fantasy novels. But I'd pick up any book (or anything with text on it)as long as I find it interesting.
God forsaken. I have to get back on them even just in that way. You know, kinda reminiscing how those textbooks tortured me before. Fantasy? I love that genre. Love Percy Jackson Series and I suggest you read the sequel series which is Heroes of Olympus. James Patterson? I've only read three of his books(well, if those were really his). :)
hahaha. Whoa. Parang may pinaghuhugutan ah. Well can't blame you though. Maraming may hindi magandang karanasan sa Math. And yah. I actually plan to read that series next (after i'm done reading HP, The Hunger Games, and The Millenium Trilogy). But oh well I prefer things that way. Always been the antisocial. :)
@Math: Hello! :)

Hello vim and reianne, nice meeting you two.
Reianne wrote: "@Math: Hello! Fan ka ba ni Leithold? O gawd, minsan akong nangarap na makamayan man lang siya. ;_;@Voltaire: Hello din sa iyo! :)"
Hi Reianne! At least di na ko nag-iisa sa pagtatanggol sa Math. Louis Leithold! Hehe. I think I was forced to become a fan after I learned during my second year in college that we'd be using his books immensely. TC7 ftw!Sayang dedz na sya di mo na sya makakamayan. :(
His legacy lives on.... (Naks! hahaha)

(Naks! hahaha)"haha. Naks! Talaga naman! Oo nga! Nagamit ko rin yun! 2 versions sya, yung isa College Algebra lang walang Trig. Violet yung isa tapos Blue naman yung isa pa.
Thanks Angus, Em and Maria! Having a blast here!
hi sa mga newbies! may Author pa tayong bago dito. hehe. Hi Candy!
Math, saan ka nagtuturo? or name lang sya talaga?
.Wow. Ang cool naman. May Filipino Goodreads group :D. USTedyanteng nangangarap maging doktor :)). Reading books is my first love. I usually start and finish reading a pocketbook within a span of a day to a maximum of two weeks. Hahaha! Sleeping pills :)). Anyway, nawala ang cellphone ko kagabi. Welcome to Manila! o_o Hehehe!
Sana eh may maging friends ako dito
^hiya~ kumusta?! ako na naman ang unang sumagot because of the american banking shift. ahahaha.enjoy the group and its discussions, from the bampirang banker. :D
Welcome nga to Manila!
Welcome, welcome!

Hi. Licensed Teacher po ng High School Mathematics. Teaching Precalculus and Statistics in a private school in Makati.
naks, good for you. those are two things I need a tutor for. completely forgotten what calculus is and regrets to not giving my full attention to stat, now it haunts me whenever I make a research paper
Ranee wrote: "naks, good for you. those are two things I need a tutor for. completely forgotten what calculus is and regrets to not giving my full attention to stat, now it haunts me whenever I make a research p..."Yun nga eh. I keep reminding my students the exact same thing. Eh walang epek. I guess they're just too young to think about what lies ahead of them in college (sophomores pa lang kasi). Oh well... :)
Hello Math, welcome to TFG! Haha. I love Math and my younger brother always won the regional Math Wizard chuva ek ek stuff, unlike me. I don't know why I did not take courses related to Math or maybe, my mom do not like to see another member in the family who will undergo Math surgery. LOL! Anyway, as far as my love to Math is concern, I know later in my studies I will use Calculus and Statistics (just don't ask me about Geometry—the only math subject I hate). Hello Rachel, welcome to the gang!
Kwesi 章英狮 wrote: "Hello Math, welcome to TFG! Haha. I love Math and my younger brother always won the regional Math Wizard chuva ek ek stuff, unlike me. Sayang naman. It's not very common for young people to like Math (at least in our country) so I'm guessing had you followed your other siblings' "chosen path" your Mom would've been proud! Don't worry, even if I majored in Math, I also had a hard time studying Geometry in high school and college. But believe me, it's pretty cool once you get the hang of it. Just like the rest of the Math subjects (and I was never even a Math whiz in school). :)
Hello po. Magpapakilala la'ang po. I'm Nico, isang Batangueño. Bago lang po ako dito. Mahilig din po magbasa ng libro. My favorite book as of now is The Name of the Wind. I'm currently reading The Way of Kings. I still have about 70 books in my bookcase unread and I hope I can read them all this year (yeah, right!) Some of those have been sitting there for a few years now.
@Math: Misconception, well, my mom chose science-related course which I don't enjoy immensely. Haha. At least, I'm trying to finish what she wanted for me. Unlike my brother who really love math took Accountancy (I feel really bad, I don't know how he can pass his English subjects). Anyway, I'm still young and I can take more courses later in life. Education do not choose learners. Hikhik! For Geometry, better luck next time.
Hi Nico, welcome to TFG and don't worry about your 70 books waiting in your shelves, as you can see, I have hundreds of books waiting in my shelves and I don't have any idea how to read them soon. Some were 5 years older, older than my stay here in Manila. I also have a friend there in Batangas especially in Lipa, who do not like to read books. Niyahaha!
Hi i'm zack, telecom engr. Been hook in reading fiction novels back in college but eventually stop cauz i'm spending more time to it than my academics hehehe. One of the books that started my inclination in reading is 'The Shadow of the Wind' by Carlos Ruiz Zafon & 'Angela's Ashes' by Frank McCourt. Now i'm back reading again after watching season 1 of HBO's Game of Thrones, i was intrigued by the plot kasi.

Thanks Alexa ... It's done really well in the UK and in RP, but I'm trying to promote it nga in the US where it was published to a deafening silence! I didn't realize Goodreads was so much fun. Gotta stop and write!!! Eeeek!
