I think it's 7 books (2 unpublished, yet) and 3 prequel novellas.
Beejay: Yeah, it's originally a series of 7 books. If you like the tv show then you'll also enjoy the books.Charles: Well, they are fantasy books, so if you're into that, they're pretty good. Try watching the TV series (Game of Thrones) and see how you like it. There's really nothing extraordinary about them except that there are lots of intrigue, conspiracies, people dying left and right, gory battle scenes, graphic sex scenes, and all the good things you expect out of a good fantasy novel. lol.
It's not really an intellectual sort of read, so if that's what you're looking for, read something else. But if you want to be entertained, then I would recommend it.
