hi! i'm jeng turning a year older next next week. marrying age sabi ng iba pero wala pa sa isip ko yan.:)) since life is too short, nagbabasa ako ng mga classics. oth, i love YA books. done reading Hush Hush series. currently reading The Help pag petiks mode sa office...any suggestions on what to read next? wag lang Twilight, pls. sila Lestat at Louis lang ang mga vampires sa buhay ko. :) thanks!

Hi guys! I just got into Goodreads for about a month ago. Kakasali ko lang sa group nung isang araw ata.

Ako nga pala si Inah, college freshman. :)
Bata pa lang ako mahilig na talaga ako magbasa. Yung kasikatan ng True Philippine Ghost Stories. Haha.
Hindi ako mapili sa genre ng libro, though more on fiction. Basta lang matripan ko pero since inclined ako sa mga supernatural, marami akong librong nabasa tungkol sa mga kung anu-ano, like vampires, werewolves, witches, ghosts. Rumo-romance din ako. Haha.

Favorite Authors ko sina L.J. Smith, Rick Riordan at J.K. Rowling. Sa tagalog naman, Bob Ong syempre. Nagbabasa din ako ng PHR. Haha. Isa pa, si Jose Rizal. Noli saka El Fili, kakabit na ng buhay ko yun. Haha

Una kong ginamit ang Goodreads to find books lang, and ngayon ko lang talaga siya ginamit for discussions and talks. I'm so happy to find out na meron palang Filipino community here.

Nga pala, Ako po si Kate, hindi short for Katherine, Katlyn or Katakot. Kate lang po talaga lol

Siguro masasabi ko po, wala akong favorite na Author. Maybe it's Stephen King since most of the books I own are his, yet I don't feel like he is. Hindi ko rin masasabi na si Markus Zusak even though The Book Thief is the one book that introduced me to the other side of the world, the real dystopian world. Any Author will do for me as long as the story caught my attention. And yes, Dystopian books are my thing. I can't get enough of them XD

And ako po siguro ung masasabi nyong baby pa in terms of reading. Been only less than two years since I hold my first book. At hiram lang dito hiram lang doon ang ginagawa ko. (not until I learned about Book sale of course lol)

Hahaha...I feel sorta out of place in this post because for one, I've been a member of this group since 2009, but I've never really been an active member. I mostly concentrated on my shelfari account. So, although I sometimes update on the books I've read, I've never really joined in discussions in my groups. However, today, I checked my email and I got reeled in by the "100 Best Books list" that Filipinos is trying to make, and also by the fact that Filipinos is going to read Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. I sometimes like doing lists or polls when I feel like it, but I am an Absolute Fan of Orson Scott Card and the Ender series. Interesting things are happening, so I thought I might as well be an "active" member, finally. =)

So, hi everyone! I know this is two years two late, but still, HI!

PS: I love science-fiction and fantasy.

That is really good to hear. I haven't seen much discussion on science-fiction books in Filipinos, so I thought that most people here weren't interested in sci-fi. I'm glad to see I was wrong. It would be great to talk to people who like sci-fi, same as me. Where I live, finding a person who even knows Orson Scott Card is almost impossible.
