SWhitney | 10 comments I have come across a few of my kindle books that have both an EISBN as well as the ASIN and from what I can tell, these books only exist on Amazon.

Ex: Julie Ortolon's - At Last

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13...

EISBN (from publication page): 9781612188201
ASIN: B006NYOQ0M

Since books are only allowed one or the other, what is the policy in cases like this?

When both are available from sources other than from Amazon itself (which we cannot use as a source), the ASIN would be preferred, for reasons of booklink functionality.

However, the ISBN is often also used for the ebook on other sites, and when that is the case, another edition with the ISBN and the format ebook should be created.
